In the end, the Panthers needed help to make the playoffs and got it from a team that was in full tank mode.

I am sure any Sabres fan could look at one game as well.

The Panthers stun Boston and Leafs fans were overjoyed.

Give the Panthers credit as they have taken advantage of getting a ticket to the dance.

I swear with the We Want Florida chants, and the celebrations after the round one win,

If the Leafs lose, they and their fan base may have simply traded one meme for another
adding the usual 1st round pick

So happy it happened that way, Boston would've demolished the Pens in 5, maybe 4.

Panthers have been one of the best teams in the league the last month and half. Not to mention, they won the president's trophy last year. They underachieved most of the year (can't blame them too much, Major changes in roster) but finally hit their stride towards the end of the year. If anything Boston got a shit end of the deal of drawing Florida after having the best season ever.

You're trying to paint a narrative that isn't entirely true.

There was a "We want Boston" chant as well

This game wasn't only big for the playoffs, especially with Florida upsetting this historical Bruins team and well on their way to eliminating the Leafs, this win also left the Blackhawks with the 3rd worst record rather than the worst. If Florida wins the cup, this game not only allowed that to happen but it also played a major role in determining where Bedard ends up. If he hits his potential and the Panthers win the cup, then this may have been one of the most consequential regular season games ever.

Cope. These guys were satirically parodying the broader crowd who was doing We Want Florida chants the whole time.
Cope what? I displayed the truth and the truth is, it's a crowd and they were chanting everything lol

They're all laughing during that 8 second clip, it was a parody of the whole crowd who was chanting they want Florida, ironically pretending they want to face the team who just had the greatest regular season in NHL history. Throughout the whole time they were serious in their chants of We Want Florida, and you can find countless posters on here, Leaf fans all over Twitter, Reddit, you name it who wanted the same. They all made fun of Florida and now the egg is on their face. Their Stanley Cup hangover is real.

I already described what happened, you are absolutely detached from reality. Not your fault though, the media tells you your team is the Stanley Cup favorite every single year and runs articles like "40-something year old Joe Thornton might just be the move that puts the Leafs over the top. Here's why."

You didn't describe the "We want Boston" chant.

I did, I said that small group was doing it as a parody after the entire crowd was chanting (and it wasn't exclusive to those chants, fans all over social media were saying the same) that they wanted Florida. They were jokingly saying they want Boston after.
