His entire personality and attitude has changed over the past few years.

When he came into the league, he was this guy with extreme confidence and used to try those few 1 in a million moves every game. How many one timer goals from the face off dot would he score? He would attempt it every game. Now he doesnt even shoot.

He also was huge in social media and streamed playing video games on twitch and joined youtube shows like on the bench. He wanted the attention that time.

Last few years hes this quiet guy who just dumps the puck in and changes. Stopped posting on social media. Stopped celebrating when the team scores, when the team wins.
How have I missed this?

Pardon?

So if I got this right the must win in regulation game becomes the Finland game now. They win that in regulation and they are in the final guaranteed.

Sweden on the other hand probably wants Canada to win today otherwise a US regulation win means they have to beat US in regulation AND hope for overtime between Canada and Finland.

Well aware........he's also naturally a big strong guy and always has been..........EP has never been that. He's getting better and he has some spunk to him as he throws hits ............which is nice. But yeah he's never gonna be near the same class strength wise as Rantanent - he's a bull.........

Strength comes in many forms is all I’m saying. I think us getting beat in a dark alley in the Cup Finals in 2011 jaded a lot of us, it’s good to have strong hockey players who have a diverse set of skills. A team of goons is just a team of goons. You have to know how and when to goon properly to win. That was the biggest difference between Van and Boston that year.

That’s why I’m not a fan of Binner starting after game 1. He doesn’t know when to not goon properly. He’s just always full goon. No one likes a goon.

What happens if teams are tied

So assuming Pettersson has a degenerative knee issue that isn't treatable but can only be managed, does anyone think this guy is suddenly going to discover the mental fortitude over the summer to actually play through it? I have to say I'm highly skeptical. I'm leaning towards pulling the chute on that contract and making the best of it.

Pettersson is cooked. I said it for months in all my posts. This whole situation where he doesn't show up because of Miler is bogus. Last year in the playoffs, you don't show up because of Miller? When the team is trying to win the cup?

Now that Miller's gone, we're speculating on injury. If it was any sort of serious injury, he should have been resting.

I don't know what to do with him either. He's worth nothing and if we don't trade him, we'll be stuck with him after this year.

i don't think there's any way now that we don't have to eat a bunch of it. Sigh

i rather stick with him

I don’t think he forgets how to play hockey suddenly

Chance is he eventually rehabs

If y’all want to drive EP to the airport, go right ahead. I’ll be here to say told you so, just as much as I was when we all wanted to draft Cody Glass over him and freaked out.

How is Cody Glass, guys? Stop posting like shrinking violets. That’s how losers are made. Sorry. That’s just life. Not my fault you guys choose to do it wrong. God forbid we go to war, you’d be among the first to get fragged. That’s just sad.

That’s my $0.02 based on a life of thinking that way. I wouldn’t say it if I haven’t lived it.

Petey just signed a MASSIVE contract for the next 8 years,
If he can't handle the pressure already, imagine how it's going to be in year 2/3/4 if he continues to struggle.
The canucks clearly know way more then we do, and if this is not a injury issue, then this seems to be a confidence and over thinking issue.
And if that's the case, he needs to go to a team like Anaheim or LA and just walk around the city being himself with less pressure.

This gamble could legitimately cripple the canucks for nearly a decade if not done right, so the question is, what the hell is actually going on?
How do you fall off so much? It's not like he lost his linemates, he was playing with average players during most of his big seasons.

I can't believe i am saying this, but we legitimately need to look to trade him, and quickly before this really gets out of hand, it's way 2 big of a gamble.

Even if you don't get everything you want, just do the cozens and byram deal if its there, f*** it and move on.

LB, get out of your own way. You are way smarter than this, don’t let your anxieties color your opinions bud. Keep your stick on the ice out there my man.
