Cheers everyone!

They gave me a dirty look ordering a Heineken 0 at a pub in Dublin I'm posting this from.

When I ordered food, and told them I'm vegan (inquired about dairy being present in any of the ingredients of the plate I'm ordering), I was sure I was going to be kicked out.

Occasions like that make me wish I was there to see all that,of course had I been your companion,I'd get and go, only joshing.lol
Reminds me in a way of a time in the late 70's visiting a schoolmate during summer break in Goa,India.First time there and we were enjoying the beer the beach and the charas and the server asked if we wanted any food and I asked for a hamburger.Wow did he ever go off and read me the riot act,as dark as he was was,he turned beet red and he was so nice and polite until that point.
We knew about the beef thing, just were not all that sharp at that moment. lol.

That's perfect, thanks for supplying it,now just to locate them and see it it will work.
After extensive research and scrutiny we deem those restaurants unworthy of our patronage due to either undesirable locations, menu choice, ambiance or the apparent less than welcome feeling for tourists. The search continues. lol

While at it,any recommended areas to picnic in or around Montreal? "sheila'' surprised with one when it was lovely outdoors, preferably a place that caters.

My initial guess was Greece but the license plates don't match what I remember in Greece so I Googled "KEO Beer". Cyprus I guess?
Well done!

The wedding was supposed to be in Israel, kind of a reunion of a bunch of friends, but many were not willing to go there. The friend lives in Israel and was getting re-married after 20 something years after he lost his previous wife in a bombing.

I went to London a couple of weeks ago, and since I'm back and procrastinating at work, I figured I'd upload some pictures of some of the food we ate.

We also went to Gordon Ramsay's three Micheline star restaurant, but were far too self conscious to take our phones out in there. I'm sure we wouldn't be the first to do it, but with how expensive and proper this place was, we just wanted to blend in. Incredible food, and I strongly recommend it (but it's obviously insanely expensive, especially with the exchange rate).

Anyway, a few pictures:

From Eggslut, owned by Alvin Cailan from the First We Feast Youtube channel. Got a bacon and egg sandwich as the first thing we ate after landing (and a nearly empty orange juice)

Went to a place called Le Bab for good kebabs. The first is a lamb one, and the other is a grilled halloumi, I think.

We stopped off and got some meat pies, with mashed potatoes and peas / beans on our drive to Bristol.

Had afternoon tea in a place called Lucy's Teahouse. I forget where, but it was in a small town on the way back to London from Bristol. Was way better than I thought it'd be.

Obviously had to get some fish and chips

For anyone who watches Uncle Roger, we went to Mei Mei at Burough Market (and we even saw Auntie Liz!). My wife and I got these. Both were incredible, and the service was so quick compared to everything around us.

And we didn't get this, but saw it in multiple grocery stores, so I had to take a picture of it.

Boil those dogs in a fine lager while stewing sauerkraut till it gets soft. Get some good “buns” and mustard. Fantastic

Thought the exchange rate was better now than it used to be? For a long time it was like a pound was $2 and change more or less.

It's possible that it's better, but it still hurts seeing your credit card bill after a nice vacation
I wanted to ask you if you don't mind, was the visit primarily a food pilgrimage? Do any driving there?
You found the food superior than Montreal? Do you know why Ramsey's restaurant in Montreal failed?
I'm looking to go to the Oxford area when convenient,non-food related purpose however.

Switched to French’s several years ago. I find it tastier than Heinz.

Probably because Ramsay got involved with shady property owners, these brothers have a shitty rep in the city, they own a ton of property. It was just a rotisserie chicken place, nothing fancy, I never had the chance to try it. They tried to piggy back off the reputation of the previous chicken rotisserie spot that was there forever.

A question, as is? only ketchup as in on fries? I don't know where else I would use only ketchup,if you know what I mean. I use it but to make other things and probably would not be able to discern one from an other in a burger etc.
That attachment is deceiving as well, all ketchup's have a sweeter, look at the label. They list ingredients in order of percentage.

I use it on sheppard’s pie. Basically, potatoes.

I prefer French’s for the taste but you may be right about the ingredients, I hadn’t looked closely enough.

I don’t make it myself. I’m just lucky to have someone do it so I don’t have to but I’ll learn and when I do, I’ll share. I’ve got a huge learning curve ahead when it comes to a lot of recipes but I’m trying.

I'll give you the recipe if you tell me why you got such a gayish avatar.:sarcasm::laugh:

You fry up some onions, toss in some ground beef, or you could use pork I guess.
Cook some potatoes, enough to make a good amount mashed.

Once your meat is cooked, spread it out in a casserole, on top, put a layer of corn niblets, i also like to add some creamed corn, makes it less dry. Then you cover the whole thing with a layer of mashed potatoes. Throw it in the oven at 375 F and cook until the potatoes start to brown on top.
If you make fancy patterns in the potatoes with a fork, they will brown first and look cool. There are no fixed measurements, it all depends on the size of your container. I used to make mine in French onion soup bowls. Freeze them and they make a quick meal. Just remember these three words. Steak, blé d 'Inde, patate.

It's no worse than my Miley fetish. Besides didn't you see the :sarcasm::laugh:

Anyway, time for a new Miley

PS @Mrb1p Homophobia was never cool, not in the 90's or any other decade., Idiots are born everyday of every year.
