Is that what might be going on with a Julep orange drink?

https://www.athomewithjoanna.com/2015/08/23/famous-orange-julep-drink/

Force Julep to show a carb count on their cups. Sugar? Milk mixed in with orange juice? WTF.

I remember trying that ions ago,it was repugnant then, and still in business? Must be a combo resto/laundromat type place;) The upside though is if your date enjoys going to the julep odds are pretty good that you'll have a satisfying conclusion to your date:naughty:

Tried the Hazukido croissant thingy downtown.

The best example I've ever seen of a good product that just isn't worth the money.

Sounds like a truly authentic Japanese culinary treat, not. All the time I've spent there and the territories, never had one let alone seen one,but not exactly seeking them out either.

Speaking of foods, got a recent shipment from the mrs and got the fixings for the Japanese foods I like to make and some snacks. Even got some of the family mushrooms they produce and managed to slip in some of the wild type I fancy, mild but will make you smile. Included some Japanese whiskey that she says is better than scotch, naturally, and everyone seems to agree, seems pretty good to me too. Would be nice if she could make it,but all things considered,it's understandable.

Geckoes are cool, they're always smiling. I had anoles for a while in a big vivarium I made. One of them was tame and would crawl up to my neck area and stay there for hours. I guess he felt safe and warm.

I had Jesus over to dinner last night!
I have a neighbour who was born in Mexico but he moved to the US when he was 6 years old.
He is a nice guy and I thought why not? So we were drinking Moscow Mules, cider and beer watching football.
I had bought 2 dinners from one of those expensive hippy grocery stores called New Seasons.
He has a tiny Chihuahua called Tobias who has one of those black leather collars with spikes so I bought one for Cactus Jack
and I am going to take a photo of them together. "Two friends going out for some S & M! " :)

Made myself an Aster Family Sour rather than pay attention to the game. This is a double, but the normal specs are

1.5 oz Cynar
1 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz orgeat
1 egg white (I didn't double the egg white even for the double)

Shake over ice, double strain and garnish with some angostura bitters

Looks great! What is Cynar, that label looks like an artichoke?

Nope! as I said, never sought them out and I actually don't eat them, don't care for them.

All that talk about Japan I went out to the Japanese grocery store and bought Canadian shrimps. Then I looked at their bakery stuff. I saw some croissants but I don't know if they are the same. I also saw something called soft cheesecake. It looked similar to a flat poundcake. I always buy candy and soda. Their Ramune soda tastes just like a Swedish soft drink that I drank as a kid. I also got a raspberry Panna Cotta.

The cheesecake is great! They got a lot of good food, but some that sucks too. Too much red bean as part of dessert, not for me thanks!
