Then see if someone will give you a 3rd or 4th and if not waive him.
We just paid a 3rd for him. Getting a 3rd for him now would be like buying a pair of jeans off a homeless person in the Summer, wearing them for a few months and turning them into jorts and trying to sell them back to the same homeless person in the Winter.

G:
- Jack, who is now nearly a career 2 point per game player against the Sens (23 in 12) :amazed:
- Ullmark
- I like the new kid

B:
- How close that game was

U:
- Okposo hurt. With all he's been through already with consussions, yeesh, poor guy
I'm not wishing harm on anyone but KO has had issues, and he can still get paid on LTIR(which is also tradeable). We've had Lafontaine, Connolly, and Drury luck with concussions. I'm not gonna be angry if KO has to sit it out, and get rich

Ugly: That Sheary, Vesey, Sobotka, Mittelstadt, Rodrigues, Girgensons, Okposo amalgamation of garbage we have in our bottom 9. Even at their very best they provide next to nothing to the team right now.

Absolutely disagree with including Girgensons in that list. He may not provide a ton of offense, but he's easily our best penalty killer right now and was invaluable in the dot tonight.

Then see if someone will give you a 3rd or 4th and if not waive him. We can use the cap space and roster spot for someone else.
There's far too many injuries right now to waive him, and some other injury team will claim him. Then we have a roster spot, but no one to fill it. The AHL/NHL rosters are a symphony. You can't just try to call up/send down every guy

When MOJO comes back Mitts should be assigned to ROCH
There's really not much left to do at this point. He's already on third(4th) line. Were over 25% of the way in, and Casey is flashing at times as usual. We have no wingers to help him.

You think he would be moved to wing for Vesey....

G: Jack Trick!! (3 + 1)

B: Often looked out of sync.

U: Okposo getting injured if it's concussion related.

Bonus G: Leafs got their azzes whipped tonight!!!

Nothing like a little hate watching also tonight...
That was a cheap elbow up high on his chin in front of ref.. He'd been playing tough consistent hockey just cant finish.. Hopefully he's alright

If you believe that in training camp guys earn jobs, then Vlad ends up your 2nd line RW, then yes. GM's still to this day are always gonna play their veterans, even when the proof is right in their faces

I think trying him on the 2nd line with anyone is the very last chance before you send him down. Kinda feels like he's being forced into succeeding rather than helped.

Obviously Jack
The 3rd period: they responded to the Sens goal by completely shutting them down, they weren't even remotely threatened afterward. Impressive when you consider that they were down KO, Dahlin benched, and Mitts (mostly) benched.
Asplund: If he keeps this up he needs to stay, he adds so much of what's missing with this group
Risto-McCabe: Dominant, gave up almost nothing in their own zone and managed to tilt the ice, despite mostly negative comments from the GDT.

B
Mitts needs time on the farm; he shows up with a wow play once every few games, and he is elite with the extra space in OT, but otherwise his game is AHL quality at the moment. It's a tough conversation to have with highly touted prospect, but he needs more ice time, more responsibility, and probably some humility too.
Krueger needs to put Skinner with Eichel sooner rather than later, VO offers nothing for that line at ES.

U
KO's injury, that just sucks man

stat watchers don't like him but he seems to be doing fine he just isn't taking the shots himself. Feels like he's always with Vesey who takes ridiculous bad shot angles except he can't score from anywhere unlike Kane so possession dies regularly when Vesey touches the puck.

I'm not gonna say it was cheap, but it did happen right in front of the ref, and he acted like it never happened

Like, when Kyle can remember what day it is? :(
- Ullmark had a lot to do with why the game was close, in a good way. So did the Sabres' lack of finish, in a bad way.
- Scandella just can't operate at this level anymore. Frankly neither could Okposo even before he got clipped.
- Why is Dahlin looking like An y elmore with all these hand grenades?
- Montour was good. Risto was solid. McCabe was hit and miss, or try to hit and miss.
- Rodrigues is nothing more than a sticky note place-holding for someone better.
- Man this team misses Johansson. PP2 is just sad without his entries.
- Sheary had moments of effectiveness.
- Skinner possessions typically end in shot, turnover, or Skinner tries to think and bad things happen.
- Mittelstadt needs extensive 1-on-1 drills. His loss against Colin White in neutral where he had position led to the tying 2nd OTT goal.
- Lazar envies Zemgus' hands.
- Jokiharju's good play/bad play ratio is highest of any Sabre I've watched this year.

- Sure, Eichel got 4... but Derek Grant just got a hat trick, BFD LOL.

Good to hear. Hopefully he sticks.

with the injury to Okposo he most likely will stick around longer (assuming we wasn’t called up for emergency purposes). But I’d expect him to be sent back down when Larsson and Okposo are both healthy.
