It’s concerning that all this money we pay for offence is again drying up. It’s not even a slump anymore when throughout March we’ve been bad.

Last year against Columbus, and the year when it mattered against Boston.

We’re supposed to be at a point where our elite players should have matured to be able to find a way or grind out a win when easy offence isn’t there.

Can’t say I have too much confidence for this group this year again...

Eh all the goals were stoppable. First one was pretty weak. Would have been nice to have one or two of those stopped.

I think they need to mix up the lines. He's also hit the post each of the last 4 games. So if he pots those we aren't saying anything right? He got a lot to go his way early on. Things will change soon we hope!

EDIT: I also mentioned this before. When returning from injury Matthews plays scared for about 10 games before he finds himself again. It was the same with his back injury, I think he plays tentative because he doesn't want to reinjure and miss games. So he plays it safe

They could barely score on OTTAWA'S fifth string... FIFTH STRING... goalie.

I just think this is a horrible way to build a team. Half the cap on 4 forwards. If they all aren't at or about leading the league in points, the team folds.

The Columbus series wasn't a glitch. It wasn't "ran into a hot goalie". It's that teams are figuring out how to shut down our "elite" forwards.

Our stars were amazing during late-start covid pond hockey. Now that we're back to nhl hockey, we're seeing all the same signs.

We have 8th-12th(healthy full season matthews)and 15th-20th ( marner)

Matthews fully healthy is closer to the 3-4 spot than he is the 8-12 spot.
