Puljujarvi isn’t impacting his line, Thornton is hurting his line in a big way. Speed is everything and he kills it

I think Nylander has been good. Hard to carry around a useless center and unfortunately that’s what JT has been all year. Put Willy on first line LW and watch that line fly. I have no doubt in my mind that they’d be unstoppable.

When Matthews is healthy he is a better finisher than McDavid and Drai. But that's when he's healthy.

matthews looks as healthy as he can be right now. I think a lot of people are using his injury as an excuse, he is clearly no longer injured.

Why are people asking for Nylander on the first line, as if he's played well enough to deserve that, at any point this season?

I think it's more try to make Tavares not look like one of the worst contracts in the league. You can call Nylander/Matthews line 2 if that makes people feel better.

It's becoming really concerning how invisible Tavares is every night. I cant think of single game this season where he looked good.

He was really good the first couple of games. I think those were the last glimpses we had of the Tavares we thought we were getting.

Nothing has happened. Teams have figured them out for one. Two the games get tighter as the playoffs get closer and the Leafs don't seem to raise their game.

Thornton was an incredibly stupid signing. Puts them in a bit of a PR nightmare if they waive him.

I disagree. He's there for the locker room (which I thought was working... until recently).

He's just being misused by Keefe.

He should get like 4 minutes a night 5v5 on the 4th line. I'm fine with him being the body in front of the net on the PP.

It bugs me when Matthews dishes off to get set up for a shooting opportunity and Marner rifles it like he’s an equivalent sniper. I mean, play to your strengths. If you’re a playmaker, you should facilitate that scoring chance as opposed to wasting it because you think you have a shot. Often, it’s just what the other team wants.
