My wife is 18 weeks.

Thought we were out of the woods with the morning sickness, but she’s backslid.

We have our next appointment with the OBGYN on Friday. It’s a few good days, then a bad day.

Rinse and repeat.

Hoping for good news on Friday. She’s very worried. On top of that, tries to take on too much.

I feel so helpless. All I can do is love, support, and offer to help.

Been down in Atlanta for two months now! Time flies.

Loving the new job... Still learning a ton but everyone here is very patient and helpful. Learning curve is 3-6 months and I feel like I'm right on track.

Gonna start the house hunting in earnest now. Divorce paperwork is finalized (didn't take too long) so I'm in good shape there.

And on a happy note, I got to enjoy some flight simulator time in an Airbus A350. 😀 Got to do one takeoff and two landings, and managed to avoid crashing!

How humid is it in Atlanta? I know it can be quite hot but I don't mind that as long as it's more of a dry heat.

I flew in an A350 for the first time last month. I liked it, well as much as one can like 11 hours in economy! The seating is decent and you get a fair amount of space, and the 'smart' lighting is good and that and the better air filtration systems definitely make you feel fresher and more relaxed. I thought the engine noise was a little more muted than usual too. Impressive.

Found out the building needs a new hot water tank last night yippee...NOT.

Plumber is going to let me know how much it is going to cost. He said he'll probably have to order one (supply chain issues) so it could be awhile before he can install a new one. Fortunately the tank isn't leaking but the insides are rusting, the hot water is discolored which is how I noticed that something might be up.

A landlord's work is never done....

Question for the car people

The turn signal in my Saturn stopped turning itself off automatically, and I've just always done it manually. This has been for several years now because I didn't want to spend the money lol.

Well, fast forward to this week and now it has completely snapped lol.

I've ordered the part and a friend is going to install for me. I assume that with the new stick it should start shutting itself off automatically again, right? Surely there's not another mechanism in the steering column that does that.

Day 1 clearing land.....got a lot of down brush cleaned up. Took time for a few casts. 9 bass off shore, including the big one who got away right at shoreline.

Blueberries everywhere

And off course chainsaw won't start..more time for fishing I guess

Woke to downpour this morning... clearing now...back to chipping brush

Wow. I'll hazard a guess and say no. Why? Because cars are no longer built in a common sense way, that's why!

I used to be pretty good at figuring out stuff like this but I can barely recognize anything when I lift the hood these days (I don't look under the dash anymore, my back can't tolerate the position anymore)

Yup today is gonna suck. I mean 149 stops is nothing but like 289 packages and I was told I would have help organizing my van since its the most bags and overflow I have had and didnt really have help at all.

I'm almost positive that the cancel mechanism in the steering column is entirely separate from the lever itself. They contact, but your turn signal lever snapped on the outside, so the cancel mechanism won't be impacted by the snap.

But it all depends what caused the return to stop working to begin with. Something snapped or stripped, either in the cancel mechanism that spins with the wheel, or on the turn signal lever. There's likely to be a small plastic toggle on the end of the lever that gets flipped by the cancel mech. I bet that plastic toggle loosened or snapped.

It's a long way to say that you won't know until the wheel comes off. Steering wheels are straight forward, but the wiring and the metal plates inside for the horn, turn signals and other electronics, are such a pain in the ass. It's actually fascinating to see how it all works though.

Good luck!
