With 4 teams remaining, most likely Conn Smythe winner for each team.

Dallas: Roope Hintz is in front by a mile. He'd be hard to catch.

Vegas: Jack Eichel is likely in the lead with a 2 point scoring lead over Mark Stone and is tied with the team lead in Goals. Pietrangelo suspension hurts his case and hasn't done anything head and shoulders above for a DMan, and goalie Adin Hill is a darkhorse but not playing the whole first round is tough.

Florida: pretty neck and neck between Tkachuk and Bobrovsky I think, but leaning ever so slightly Tkachuk for now.

Carolina: This one is pretty wide open. Aho and Martinook are tied for team lead in points. Slavin is playing pretty incredible hockey right now, but giving it to a DMan that doesn't lead his team in minutes and doesn't powerplay seems fairly unlikely. Andersen a darkhorse, but more likely than Adin Hill if his run continues.

Updated points after round 2:

  • Connor McDavid 20
  • Roope Hintz 19
  • Leon Draisaitl 18
  • Evan Bouchard 17
  • Matthew Tkachuk 16
  • Mitchell Marner 14
  • Jack Eichel 14
  • Yanni Gourde 13
  • Morgan Rielly 12
  • Mark Stone 12
Vegas, Dallas, Florida and Panthers advance, so I suppose the finalists are coming from 1 of them? Here are my choices for now:

Vegas - Eichel
Dallas - Hintz
Florida - Tkachuk/BobCop
Carolina - Slavin

I think it is pretty odd that that Oettinger has lowest odds for Dallas. He had good game yesterday other than that he has pretty mediocore numbers, actually weakest number 1 goaltender remaining. Are odds thinking that remaining series goaltending would be bigger factor for Dallas or is Hintz just too under the radar name.

I think a lot of this is based on oddsmakers expecting regression to the mean (Oettinger improves, Hintz regresses).

I do believe Dallas could still be winning without either being out, but...

Real ones know it’s Slavin so far for the Canes. But it’d end up being Aho or something if the playoffs ended today.
It's still half of the playoffs left, but Slavin has been the nuts and should also be somehow honored for the fact that he has done it consistently OVER THE YEARS.

It might sound annoying, but since there is no trophy for players like him this is one thing to consider and I would argue that it might be a factor.

At this point it's easily Bobrovsky's to lose. He has singlehandedly carried this panthers team. Just spectacular goaltending from him. It reminds me of Carey Price in 2020.

.927sv%, 2.43 GAA, 8-2 through 10 Starts. In those games his team was outshot in 7 out of 10 those games. Just incredible from him.

Yeah he's definitely the favourite for Florida now.

Tkachuk looked like arse yesterday. So of course he scores the game winning goal. Rumours he has been injured since the 2nd Leafs game. Would make a lot of sense when you compare his play now to the Boston series and the regular season.

He was invisible all night except for that play. It was his first goal in 6 games I think. He didn't score at all in the Toronto series or Game 7 against the Bruins.

If the Panthers make it to the Finals Bobrovsky may get the Conn Smythe win or lose.

I’ve tried looking the odds up for taking Bobrovsky at the start of the playoffs and can’t find it. Anyone know what they were?

Players not taking part in the conference finals bear no meaning and ought to be omitted. More informative with only ’active’ players, the points total.

1. Bobrovsky
.
2. Hintz

At this moment.

If Florida makes it to the finals and loses, I can see Bob getting the CS (certainly if they win). It is after all the twentieth anniversary of just that happening with Jiggy for the Ducks against NJ back in '03

He was brutal in the Leaf series too. Bobrovsky is carrying that team.

I know Eichel leads his team in points, but I just don't see him as the MVP of the VGK at this point. He's been very good, don't get me wrong. But I feel like other guys have contributed with a more complete game, more consistently on all areas of the ice.

Karlsson and Stone are the first two that come to mind. My vote for VGK is William Karlsson, at this stage of the proceedings.

You have no clue what you are talking about. You don't score 153 without driving the play non-stop over 82 games. You need to be more than just a "gamebreaker".
It's fun reading through a thread in hindsight, watching a debate over which golfer is the best.....

If Florida goes all the way and Bob keeps this up, he is the clear front runner for sure. Tkachuk has a good attitude and scores important goals, but the longer the playoffs advance the more important role Barkov plays from the outfield players. It's just easier to hand it to the well-deserving goalie.
