It's only 2 games in but it's the way they're losing. They look the same as they did most of last year. And as was discussed pre season, they can't afford to take the first 20 games off, and use the dreaded cliché 'flip a switch' later on. They need a good start, due to the dogfight in the Central Division, the Pacific will only have the top 3 teams in the playoffs.
Sutter post game:
And I know that had been his creed in the past., and the Oct schedule was a very winnable one, but I wonder how stubborn he'll remain if Quick struggles in the next 2 games vs Canucks and Wild? There is a danger of hovering near or below 500 to start the year and playing catchup.
They're a a big team that plays a heavy game and that is a trend that is losing ground to a league evolving into a speed game.
Hopefully they turn it around Tues and get moving in the right direction and getting a quarterback on the PP would help. Seems to be a lot of misdirection and confusion out there, nobody seems to take charge , no direction.

On whether he considered replacing Jonathan Quick with Jhonas Enroth:
No, our schedule should be the fact – our number one guy should be able to handle the schedule, when you look at it. It’s a pretty light schedule in terms of games. You need your top guy to be on top of his game. [Reporter: And he’s not right now, correct?] He didn’t play very well tonight, did he?
