I would be interested in joining back as an active player for GMC in NHL15.

I went PS4 but I will be one of those people buying "two" copies.


I wont make any waves this time! :naughty:

welp, based on that news I guess I'm playing the 360 again and getting nhl 15 for it at least for this moment.


Good thing I didn't sell the 360 yet lol

Exactly how I feel.

I literally packed the thing up and had it on a stack to get donated when I started seeing these rumors about the absence of online game modes from the next-gen consoles.

Its actually quite disappointing as I am a huge fan of both EASHL and GMC.

But with that said, I'll be getting NHL15 for Xbox and likely my PS4 will continue to collect dust until something else comes out!


I just finished "The Last Of Us" which was the first game I played on the system since I bought it in November.



Regardless, EA should have NO excuses for GMC to have major glitches like these past couple years since they literally put no work into it for Next Gen.



They may not even put it in the Next Gen Consoles according to this quote from an EA Rep;

" The future of GM Connected is TBD.
When we look at the data of how many people are actually playing the mode, it is VERY small relative to our other modes.
One of the things that we need to be careful of moving forward is to not spread ourselves too thin.
On G3, we have a lot of modes that get minimal use.
Maintaining these modes year on year (even if we don't add any new features) is very costly and it takes away from us working on other features in the more played modes which is why I say that the future is TBD based on current usage.
When we first put GMC in, it was a highly requested mode from our fans but that hasn't translated into the usage we expected. "

Eh, Rammer basically just said that the future of GMC is 'up in the air' after this year because no one plays it.

I wouldn't expect any improvements whatsoever, which is a shame, since one of the reasons it is underutilized is its instability.

I'm just happy that I won't be tempted to buy a Xb1 now. Now I can wait another year to buy it.

I play EASHL and GMC most of the time anyways. HUT gets real boring.

I read the OS article again and noticed the GMC update part. To me that says they will try to improve the experience so it's more accessible and not as slow as it is now. I don't think they'll get rid of it. Maybe it'll turn into the same thing NBA 2k's online leagues are, which is a hidden away game mode and not a large focus.
