For what its worth, ever since we signed Palat I thought he was like made up linemate for Nico. Jack can do it with literally anyone, would be nice to have Palat and Nico push eachother to get going. Palat coming back and Nico has cooled off a little. Maybe it'll open some more space for Bratt aswell.

He was a good 3rd liner, but that was before this year and the decline happening. Maybe he'd still be a good 3rd liner? We don't know because we haven't seen him on the 3rd line, but he sure is producing like a 3rd liner while playing higher than that.....

I still maintain if there's no significant heater in the second half he'll have trouble finding work in the NHL next year. And if he does get a contract I don't think he has many more years left. He shouldn't have much of a problem if he can hit 8 or 10 goals, but it remains to be seen if he can get there. He has 44 more games to 6-8 more goals.

And I've been saying that for a while, but I didn't realize until last night that he's been with 7 different NHL teams in the 10 years he's played games in the NHL.

And he's literally been on 6 different teams in the last 6 seasons. And I think he was only a deadline rental once in that span.

That's the ultimate journeyman right there.

And since Minnesota where he played 266 games and lasted 4 years? He ain't even played 100 games for any other team in the NHL.

He played 91 for Vegas, though to be fair, it appears he was injured a great deal of the 18-19 season and only played 15 games that year.

Honestly, Mercer has not been playing well for a while and he had some noticeable screwups last night - I am cool with him getting a night off

Well it’s a good game to work kinks out since St Louis has been horrendous defensively, not a fan of those lines but guess we’ll see how they work
