Mercer 3C. Haula 4C. Zetterlund 3RW. Completely done with Haula in the top 9 and the lineup entirely when Nate’s back. I really don’t care about the assists or the faceoffs. The faceoffs are irrelevant and when you’re gifted with being strapped to a superstar’s hip you’re bound to pick up some assists.

why does anyone bother with the deserve to win o meter when it seems to be the opposite of the game results so frequently?
Nailed it. This team is stat proof to the point that it's not an indication of who will win. We broke the meter.

BLUES HAD 4 HIGH DANGER CHANCES. 4!!!!
Bottom line is that Schmid STUNK.

Absolutely stunk.

No chance on goals 1 and 4, but you'd like a save on at least one of goals 2 or 3.

I don't think we're gonna see him again this year.

Well, I take that back. We probably will see him again because Blackwood is gonna get a urinary tract infection while taking a piss, if something else doesn't take him out first. So you know he'll be up again.

But I think between the recent AHL blowouts and this game, I don't see him getting many more games this year.

To be fair, I still don't think he's worse than Blackwood.

It is 8 in a row at home now. Lose Saturday it is 9. Lose the next two games and it is 3-12 stretch basically. They would get past by the Rangers who were 14 points back. At a certain point front office / ownership steps in and makes a change to try and turn things around. Especially as Lindy is pretty much a lame duck coach and a replacement is on the bench. It is one of those if you are going to make the change at the end of year, you make it now.

I’m not necessarily mad at Lindy. This isn’t really a coaching issue overall. Their depth is getting exposed. But a coaches job is not let things snowball. It has snowballed here. And there have been snowball the past two years as well. It might be time for a new voice.
So…? I don’t disagree with that necessarily.
But Fitz clearly believes in Ruff and as long as we’re in the playoff picture/fight I think he’ll be secure and have a chance to turn things around. So unless we go on a big losing streak to the point where we’re completely out of the race in the next 20 games or so I can’t see Ruff not finishing the season here.

Lol Haula ain’t ever leaving this lineup barring injury

Worst loss of the season. It was literally the most must win game so far and they find a way to blow a lead at home to a banged up team. No home win in a month. Goaltending was not good tonight either , wish Vanaceck started.
Goaltending was the story. It’s not only how many more we should have scored but us giving up 4 on limited shots and some of them (the 5 hole goal for sure) on weak shots.

And there’s no way Ruff’s job should be in jeopardy. I am amazed it’s even being suggested. I get it that people are frustrated, especially with losing at home, but we are playing well lately and the only thing that beat us tonight was the goalie not giving us the stops. Give up 4 goals and you are going to lose most nights in this league.

The only choice Ruff made was playing Schmid and not Vanacek tonight and with the back to back and the Rangers coming up on Saturday, I still think he made the right choice resting Vitek.

These line combos are what I’d like to see, as well. Haula and Tatar should not be in the top 6 and getting significant ice time. Not sure what Rango did to get in Ruff’s doghouse but this isn’t the kind of player who is useful in a bottom 6 role. Let’s see some damn adjustments already!!

Tatar is definitely worthy of it. Haula is not. I really don’t know how the 2 get lumped together. Tatar is 24th in 5v5 P/60 which is tied with Bratt.

I think right now he's being given the chance to turn it around.

We might even be getting to the point where he's gonna start playing Vanecek every game. If he plays him both games of the back to back in California (I think we have a back to back on that trip) then you know he's feeling a lot of the heat.

They'll trade for a scorer and play him with McLeod.

Saturday is a must win. You can't lose 9 in a row at home right before a long road trip.

Especially when game 1 of that trip is Carolina which is basically an auto loss right now

-Okh in for Bahl
-get Tatar the hell off PP1
-get Haula out of the top 6
All you'll get is the first one probably.

And you'll like it.

And you'll drink the Ruff-aid.

And smoke some of his cigarettes too.

Enough with giving our franchise player two washed up has beens (that were mediocre when they were in their “prime”) on his line. How about habe someone actually good at scoring okay with him? Just a thought. I wk dear why Jack has decided to shot WAY more often than any poit in his entire career? Could it be because he has no one to pass it to that can finish? He has 100% altered his game because he has nobody to pass to. He is thinking shot instead of pass now 99.99% of the time amd I don’t blame him.
It’s a waste of a elite player.
I can’t think of one other teams star player that consistently is forced to play with complete shitbags on his line

The honeymoon with Haula is over.

This guy just flubs golden opportunities every game. He shouldn’t be on Jack’s wing much longer.

Also, Bahl isn’t ready yet.

Zero structure again, wasn’t any last night either. Neutral zone is putrid, d zone is terrible. 3 years of running around. Enough is enough.

Analytics don’t mean a damn thing when the breakdowns are monumental and always end up in your net. I’ve never seen so many players on the offensive side of the puck in the d zone in my life.
