To be fair, I haven't hit either of them yet, but I have hit the 921s (and 919s) and MkI ZX5's... if they are anything like those, they are fantastic options. IMO Mizuno makes the best feeling irons (maybe clubs in general) out there. Srixon has closed that gap though.
I was hitting the Mizuno M Craft putter and that thing felt amazing. Obviously on a store putting green, but still. Very seriously considering that as I’m getting a new putter.

Now the question is forged or hot metal pro. I don't really need extra distance from my irons so if the forged are forgiving enough that could work

With as similar as they are in looks and blade length (I think there is only a millimeter or 1.5 of difference), you could have a blended set. If you go with Mizuno, report back. Would love to hear how they work for you.

Yeah I snagged one a couple weeks ago. I got 5 rounds in since and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm coming from a 2017 M2... so some differences in tech, but the Mizuno spins far less (especially off the toe) and is every bit as forgiving (maybe a touch more even). I probably only picked up ~5-10 yards of carry with it, but much tighter dispersion and probably 15-18 yards more total. I'm not a big hitter, but I've already cranked this driver 320 on a ~45 degree day with a soggy fairway and I've been able to count on it being between 280 and 290 so far without having to really swing out of my shoes(I hovered around 270-275 last year). If I can pick up 5-10 more as it warms up and I get used to it, I'll be completely thrilled. Being able to count on 290-295 would be a huge help and probably shave 1-2 strokes off by itself.

Lol too funny. My current driver is a 2017 M2. I really liked it back in 2017 but haven't loved it the last two seasons.

Thats great to know you are liking the lower spin of the ST-Z and still find it forgiving. I may have to pick one up for that price....

Our driveway finally melted so we were able to setup all of our street hockey stuff (I got a net and one of those goalie tarp things). Street hockey sticks are way better now than they used to be.

I forget how terrible my slap shot always was, but I've been able to go bar down on my wrist shots still and I haven't picked up a stick since I was a teenager.

Feels good man

Yeah… so far so good. It seems very forgiving for how low spin it is. It isn’t a triple diamond Callaway or anything with spin, but way lower for me than the M2 was.

I actually hit this driver today and it felt good. Only thing holding me back are the stock shafts. Not any good options. All are mid launch. Which one did you go with?

Guess I could always swap my Hzdrous Black on the M2

Here y'all are talking about mixing shafts and club heads while I'm so bad at golf, I rent clubs whenever I go. Although I prefer left-handed clubs, I've found that it doesn't really impact my score much either way.

I went with the Ascent Red 50…. But I’m out of my element on the differences in shafts beyond I hit certain types better. I have a late release so I tend to get along with mid launch shafts better and it seemingly fits me pretty well right now.

Yeah I can’t play golf worth a damn shit either. I have a baseball swing and could never transfer it over to a golf swing. Similar but different.

Love watching it on tv, though.

Ended up going with the Srixons! They felt the best of all the clubs I hit.

Then I found a used set with my specs, mainly extended shafts, so I had to pull the trigger.

Can’t wait to get them on the range and course!

@henchman21

So I couldn’t pass up that deal on the ST-Z 220. I just got it and took it to the range. Wow. Never hit so many just baby fades in a row. Amazing control. Can’t wait to play an actual round with it.

It’s also super muted compared to the M2. That really threw me at first.
