I actually suggested the r/n thing a couple of days ago edit: yesterday to the people who came up with the slogan. Not with the break but with a change of the text color (blue to yellow, the colors of our logo). Looks pretty good but I still don't like the slogan. At least I don't like it well enough.
I'm not sure if it's this or the fact I started watching Mad Men yesterday, but clearly I am meant to work in advertising.

No? I can tell you what Perestroika is, I guess, kind of.
Oh, never mind, I think I get it. Teemu Selanne and his wife got on Twitter to endorse some guy named Tere Sammallahti, so I assume #Terestroika is a play off his name. Kinda ironic if true since he sounds like he’s pretty right wing (if he’s endorsed by Trumpist Teemu then he most certainly is).

Yeah, I saw that. It's parliamentary election time, and yes, this guy is some local idiot, no doubt. Judging mostly by the fact that Tere is not a name.

Anyone here buy a new set of irons recently?

I still game my Ping S55s but they are getting old, almost a decade since release. Trying to decide if it’s time for an upgrade or keep them in the bag.

I got a set of Tour Edges over the winter. Nothing too special as I'm a pretty average golfer, but I actually went out and used them for the first time today and had a pretty enjoyable round.

Funny enough I grabbed a set of Tour Edge C721s on clearance last fall ($375 brand new 4-PW... impossibly good deal). I absolutely love them. Forgiving enough to cover up my mistakes, but I can still play a slight draw (my preferred shape). My only real issue with them is the PW is 44*.. but so many clubs are like that now. They launch high and land soft, but the spin isn't amazing. I'd prefer a 46* PW... but I just made up for it by grabbing another gap wedge at 48*. So I run 44-48-53-58 now.

If I was looking at current year releases I'd be on Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal Pros or Srixon ZX5 MkIIs. I just love the way Mizuno and Srixon irons feel and I almost pulled the trigger on 2020 ZX5s but I couldn't pass up the C721 deal when I saw it.

I scored a Mizuno ST-Z 220 driver from Carl's Golfland on clearance a couple weeks back... that driver is incredibly underrated. It is a great combo of low spin and forgiving.

Yeah I got a set of the C522’s and while I’ve only played one real round, I’ve loved the feel of them. Like you said, just forgiving enough but I
still get really decent length and loft out of them. Ironically I noticed the loft issue on 18 as I rolled one into the far bunker due to not enough loft . Worse off I think the 522 PW is a 43* which isn’t ideal.

I keep hearing great things about the Mizunos JPX 923s and the Srixon ZX5 MKII. I should try those out. I hit both the P790 and P770 from Taylormade and they were just ok... nothing wow that I had to get.

To be fair, I haven't hit either of them yet, but I have hit the 921s (and 919s) and MkI ZX5's... if they are anything like those, they are fantastic options. IMO Mizuno makes the best feeling irons (maybe clubs in general) out there. Srixon has closed that gap though.
