Games in hand. Using the standings at the same games played: Toronto 53 games 65 points - Boston 53 games 74 points. There's the real difference.

Who cares about the past. Win your games before assuming any such bigger gap. You think you will walk over teams after a loss to Buffalo last night?

You are equal to Toronto in points at your best. You will not play this pace forever.

Games in hand are something that absolutely need to be taken into account, and the Bruins look as though they'll win a few of those games for sure (they're on fire). But to this point games in hand are games they may also potentially lose, it is an unknown and can't be taken at full value. The Bruins are ahead, with a tough schedule upcoming, they will either pull ahead further as they play more games or come back to earth a bit. Regardless, the final 25-30 games will be interesting to see how the top 3 shake out!

This is a weird thread. Boston is better than Toronto right now. At the very least in regards to team points. If the roles were reversed I'm positive Leaf would be arguing the same thing.

That all being said there is still a lot of season left and thing can certainly change. Toronto has had the harder part of their schedule earlier on and now I believe Boston is just starting their hard part.

I love this thread. I would've never thought in a million years the rest of the league would complain about the Leafs having it too easy. Not that I didn't expect people to complain, but I never expected the Leafs to be in a position to be complained about. :naughty::laugh:

One thing about the Atlantic is 3 of the top 5 starting goalies play for the top 3 teams. Also 3 of the top 10 centers. There's some scary talent here. Marchand and Kucherov are also the two best wingers in the league

I'd give some love to Price too. Throw him on the list.

MY biggest wish for fans of Atlantic division teams right now is that we all stop using the "memba" thing. it's really lame.

1. Nope, it has great legs to stand on. Though that doesn't suit your argument, so it's better - for you - to discard it.

2. Since that's the level you want to stoop down to, I will oblige:
- Toronto lost to Arizona 4-1... At home... While being outshot too.

I’m okay with losing to Arizona, your the one proclaiming Boston’s elite... memba? So getting your ass handed to you by Buffalo is delicious.

It’s good for me? Nah, trust me, it’s good for you. All you’ve accomplished in here is to reveal you don’t know how to string together a compelling argument, and let everyone know how insecure you are.

Boston has elite numbers, gotten by playing more games vs better teams than you did. These facts seem to upset you: ask yourself why. I think that the uninterrupted decades of superiority by Boston has done a number on you...
Being elite doesn't mean one can't have the occasional hiccup vs poor teams. We're still on a 27-5-4 run. I wonder if Toronto ever had a run like that in their entire history? Probably not.

"Insecure"??? Lol. You seem to like to bring that up, sounds like you are projecting your own issues here.

You might want to have that checked out. You should be able to remember that.
Buffalo >>> Arizona, by the way.

I don't feel like partaking in whatever argument you guys are having otherwise, but...

Buffalo with Eichel only playing 4 mins before leaving for injury vs Arizona is probably a pretty legit debate for which is worst.

It's a really weird division this year. Arguably the two best teams in the league sit on top, and then the rest of the division is pretty weak.
