So is this a second GDT now?
No, it's more like a pissing match between about 5 Leafs posters, 2/3 Bruins posters and The Winter Soldier who shows up uninvited to every Leafs related thread.

I think it's consensus that the Lightening are an elite team though. So you guys are gud.

You were saying?

@The Winter Soldier how about that win tonight? Is this one game sample enough for me to claim the Leafs are on par with the Lightening? Also how about Matthews and his 3 assists, I know how much you love Centers who get assists. How about you give your boy some credit tonight.

trying to chirp after still blowing a 3 goal lead? sit down

try not to make blowing 3 goal leads habit in the playoffs

hasn't fared well for you guys in recent playoffs, has it?

I think the Leafs have now played only 13 out of their 58 games against the Atlantic Division. They are 7-5-1 overall. 1-1 against Tampa, 2-1 against Boston.

Most of their points have come by beating up on the Metro division in the East and playing the West well.

We have barely played the Altantic division bottom feeders.

Leafs have an extremely soft schedule from hereon, they still have a shot at finishing 2nd in the division. We've already played our tougher games. Boston has a brutal schedule coming up.

We haven't been in the playoffs enough for anything to fare. And a win is a win. And I am sitting down, you silly Bruins fan. There's no pleasing some of you guys. Geez. Not every team in the league has 14+ core players and is lock for the cup at mid season. Give us a break.

2013 isn't recent. 5 years ago, get over it. Only players even left from that roster are JvR, Bozak, Kadri, Komarov and Gardiner. Hey remember when you blew the lead in Game 6 to hand Chicago the cup though?! That was hilarious and worse.

In before Leafs vs. Bolts. I predict Leafs will pass Bruins in standings before end of regular season. I'm pretty sure of this and we don't have to calculate pace or quality of competition. We can compare points when schedule factor has evened out.

Bruins get "the Wild treatment" from last year when Wild played 23 games in 41 days and their tires fell of completely. Bruins will play 24 games in 44 days in the end of regular season. Three long road trips before playoffs and no rest.

Leafs will play 15/25 against Atlantic Division 9 games against Sabres, Habs, Sens and Wings. 14 games at home, longest travel to Nashville. Long stretches of home games.

I bet Bruins fans will complain about injuries and fatigue and whatever. If I'm wrong I'll tip my hat for those gummy bears, but I wouldn't gamble against laws of physics.

The Bruins schedule come March is borderline cruel. That light schedule they had is a debt that's coming due very soon. The Leafs went through this back in November and paced their icetime accordingly. I'm glad it happened before the bye week and will pay off with this easy sched to close out the season in Toronto. After 82 games, we'll see where things really stand.

but you did? you had a 3 goal lead, blew it, and then won

why is that so hard to understand?
Winners win, don't know why your concerned about the leafs. The leafs are gonna be in the playoffs, if we are who we think we are we will be able to win games even if we occasionally blow a lead. Your Bruins are doing great, you can cheer them on and not have to go after the leafs.

this one game sample proves the Leafs are the best team in the league imho

True. The Bruins loss taught us that the Leafs were the worst team in the NHL according to HFBoards. This win redeems the Leafs and puts them on track to go 16-0 in the playoffs.

But...If they lose to Boston on Feb 24th, it's time to sell off the entire team...because that would mean we tied our season series 2-2.

What

you guys blew late leads game to the Jackets, Blues, and Flyers like a month ago

IIRC at one point it was 3 blown games in the third in a row

I mean I'm clearly just messing around with you guys but you take it so seriously and have incredibly short memories at this point its hard not to keep going
