The closest we have is TJ Brodie.if only we could clone Hainsey. He was effective IMO next to Rielly
Rielly and Brodie should be a pairing that helps insulate Morgan defensively.
Morgan Rielly was a +24 when paired with Hainsey who was a +30 +/- and a reliable pairing against most matchups.
Rielly on Leafs team is a -5 +/- this year with the Leafs sitting in 4th place in the standings and a + 45 goal differential (Goa;s For -Goals Against).

Exactly. Idk why it's being brought up now like this, but when McDavid has free time in the summer and gets to choose where he wants to stay, he's in Toronto.
His longtime girlfriend is from Toronto. That matters 1000% more than where his brother currently lives lol. Where she wants to raise a family will have a disproportionate influence on his future plans. If you've ever been married you know that her families location is more important than McDavids.

First round for me is 194 a ticket.
Comparable seat tonight on ticketmaster is asking 375 + fees = 450 a ticket. That's crazy. $900 a pair to sit in the 2nd last row. No one will pay that.
Ours seats in the final are 569 a seat.

If anyone doesn't think that McDavid's childhood dream was to play for the Leafs one day, they're just fooling themselves. The only question is whether or not there will be a fit salary cap wise when McDavid is available as a UFA in 3 years.
