Hey guys, I'll be in New York next weekend to watch the Jets / Steelers game.

I was wondering if there were any bars in Manhattan that might be showing the Canadiens / Canucks game at 10 PM on Saturday night? Thanks!

I posted a similar question in the NFL thread for the Giants game, but since tonight is Rangers night...

Anybody in Northern Westchester have good suggestions for a bar to watch the game? Preferably a hockey bar (i.e. a place that will actually have the Rangers on their big TVs, instead of the Jets)?

How about the best rangers bar atmosphere wise in lower manhatten ? Thanks in advance

I haven't found a definitively Rangers bar in lower manhattan (someone please let me know if one exists!) but there's definitely some quality sports bars in the area.

For the East Village, I like Standings on East 7th. Really great beers on tap, no food at the bar but you can bring food from any of the numerous places in the area (Pommes Frites and 99 mi to Philly aren't too far). For the LES, Hair of the Dog is a solid option for drinks and game watching. Can't speak to the food, though.

Saw that there's a bunch of awesome food stands in Greeley square, by the garden.

Anyone know how long they're gonna be around?

Until November 24th! For anyone interested, the details can be found here http://nyu.spoonuniversity.com/2013/10/broadway-bites/

It's really great, the area around the Garden doesn't really have too many local food and craft beer options. This will for sure be my pre-game spot for the next couple weeks - then it's back to Rose's

sorry if this isn't the right place for this question, but is there a buy, sell, trade area on the forum that can be used for non rangers related things?

Coming up this Saturday to explore NYC some, and then i'm going to the Caps-Isles game at 7pm. Would there be enough time to go to the Nucks-Rangers game at 2(why can't this be at 12), and get to the Isles game with some time to spare? Any parking garages that would be best to get me out that way after the game?

Thanks

You should, barring any unforeseen traffic, be able to make it. Rangers should be over around 5 or so, and then it's about 45 minutes to the Isles assuming no traffic.

Although I'd drive over this option, you could also take LIRR to Wesbury and then a cab, but not sure how difficult it is to get a cab from the arena back to LIRR. Never done it myself, so can't vouch for it. There's a 5:22 train that gets in at 6:05, it's about a 10 minute cab ride so you should be good.

Schedule back is a bit ugly though, trains at 9:58(probably won't make it in time), and 10:58, so you'll be stuck at the station for a while. You could try going back via Hempstead, there's a 10:19 that gets you into Penn at 11:14, change at Jamaica.

Again though, if you already have a car, I'd just drive it. Warning, parking around MSG is going to be EXPENSIVE!!!(Think $30+ for the game), maybe try looking online for coupons. Eight bucks gets you parking at Nassau.

If anyone is in Staten Island, Play Sports Bar is having a viewing party tomorrow night. $20 open bar during the game. Matteau will be signing autos from 6-7:30, think they are $20 each. 2 Sneden Ave.

Does anyone do the pre-game autograph thing at MSG?

I am taking my 12 year old daughter Sunday. I normally go with my son who thankfully could care less about that stuff, but my daughter really wants to camp out and get some autographs.

Is there a place where a large group of players come in? She'd likely be just as excited to get Pouliot as she would Nash so just a spot where multiple guys come in would be awesome.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Rangers fans...

I'm going to see Phish on Dec. 28th at The Garden. This will be my first time at MSG and I'm looking at tickets in the 300 section, namely 305 as they are the cheapest. What do you guys think of this section? I see it's called The Lounges on StubHub so I'm not sure it's some sort of club box or not.

Any help or recommendations would be great, thanks!

MSG Event Tickets

I'm not sure if I am in the right thread. Anyone have tickets for Justin Timberlake in MSG this coming February? I'm looking to take my wife. Hasn't seen JT over 10 years when he was with N'SYNC.

Hey guys,

Anyone tell me a good place to go where I can watch the World Juniors in NYC on the 31st plz? Anywhere near Times Square.

Thx a lot for any help..

hi, i don't know if this is the right thread on ur board, but i'll ask anyway. i'm probably going to come with my dad to NYC in march and we'll see a rangers game. i've seen the rangers before at msg (so fun!) but i've read some stuff about some how in the reno they built a "bridge" over top the seating. do u know if it's something to be worried about or can we just get seats wherever we want?

looking forward to the trip! new york is so great!

Here's a virtual view of MSG:

Avoid the seats in the super back of the 200's.

Any seat above row 14 partially obstructs the new scoreboard. I have sat in row 13 for a bunch of games then I sat in row 18 for a game and found a big difference as the bridge felt like it was right in front of me. I would avoid the upper level rows 15 and up especially if you are just going for one game. I also sat on the Bridges for a game just to try it and the view was nice but not worth the price.
