Every ASG jersey worn up until 1997 had zero to do with the host city, and the only reason that it changed in 1997 was merely a coincidence.

By my reckoning, the only times that the ASG jerseys have had anything to do with the host city at all are:
1997 - San Jose (Eastern Conference wore teal)
1998 - Vancouver (World wore white with silver and blue trim, North America red with silver trim)
1999 - Tampa Bay (World wore white with silver and blue trim)
2004 - Minnesota (West wore dark green, East had red trim on cream)
2009 - Montreal (both wore red/white/blue)

This will be the 60th All-Star Game, and only three times have both teams worn something as a nod to the host team.

I liked the Minnesota versions.

So, Chara won't be defending his hardest shot title then. Will there be any competition for Weber?

Ok...I've only been to the 2004 ASG and knew those had a hint of Wild in them and thought the Ottawa/Carolina red/white ones were due to their colors. I'm really not a big fan of ASG anyway, so just figured it was something the NHL did.

People are going to cry the homer card for every selection the Jackets have.
Already started hearing it withing 30 minutes of the release. Was listening to NHL Radio on Sirius and they were all crying of P.K. Subban not making the team, which is a legitimate point and then the guy started railing on the Bobrovsky pick because of his numbers and additionally saying his contract was terrible.

The haters can hate on my Neon Green #72 Bobrovsky jersey.

They will but move past it.... We've had a great time around here the last decade... That said, I agree with Joey, Nick and Bob going to the all-star game, I would have picked the same (I hope Bob can get a few shutouts before though :))...

Glad the NHL did the right thing and got these three into the game.

I am too but looking at objectively I don't think Bob deserved it on his numbers this season. If the game wasn't here I doubt he makes it. But there are enough subjective reasons to justify it so good for him.

Agree based on numbers, I love Bob but before his injury he was not good.... he was stellar in December but the last two games after his golden new contract he's not looked like an all-star to me... Bob needs to work on his mental game, he must be more consistent if we are ever going to be a consistent playoff team..

I'm interested to know if they'll have All-Star jerseys with CBJ players names for sale.. ?

I'm not buying a jersey unless its legit with their name on the back .. with the draft not being until Friday before the game I have a hard time believing they'll have these made.

stopped in The Blueline last night and the replica All-Star jerseys were being put out...they are as scary in person as they are on a computer screen...the usual nice material and workmanship is there, but the NHL shield logo on the front is very 'plasticky'...not an embroidered feel or look...very disappointing...I was told no authentic will be available, just replicas [please chime in if you know otherwise]...price tag was $150...the All-Star brand mark shirts, sweatshirts, etc look miles better than the jersey, but it may appeal to some!!

The replica jerseys are $135 on NHL.com so to sell them for $150 in the Blueline is a ripoff.

shipping costs are about that...price of getting them now vs waiting a week

Shipping cost is 5.99 on NHL.com so it still ends up being about 9 bucks cheaper. Regardless, I won't buy one unless I can get it accurately customized with proper patches etc.

Not even a replica with a CBJ players name on the back?

Not buying anything if theres nothing on the back... already garbage enough as is...

FWIW, the thin crests have been tried out on some recent authentic game jerseys as well. The Stadium Series jerseys had a very similar feel.

Hopefully customized versions are available soon. Unfortunately, it seems that replicas are the only thing you'll be able to get. If any authentics do come out, they'll be 'leaked' on ebay. I'm holding out hope for this. There's always a chance to win one of the game worn jerseys in an auction after the game, but I suspect they will go fairly high. the 'alternate' version for the team they don't get picked for, should be available as well for a more reasonable amount, but of course it isn't game worn.

I'm betting custom lettering and numbers will be available for these jerseys soon...as far as turnaround, I'd have no idea how long that would take
