OT: The All-Purpose Video Game Thread: Part III

You know what though? It wasn’t infuriating even though I died literally 50+ times lol
 
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a f***ing masterpiece which will have you laughing your asses off.

I was up till 5am playing when 3 of my online buddies. We all called off work today. We literally couldn’t stop playing.

The gameplay and graphics are top notch. The customization options are incredibly deep. But the best thing about the game is Tina narrating as you play. She’s hilarious.

10/10. Simply sensational.

It was under the promotional tab on my gmail account, less than a week after I signed up.

Maybe it goes by 'seniority' of the account. I have no clue. I heard similar things
 
Anyone here into Cod or Sim racing?

Used to be bigger into cod but ended up getting a sim setup which I love.

I’ve had a ps4 since launch and purchased probably over a hundred games. PS3 before that. And Vita. It’s infuriating.
 
Chrono Cross radical dreamers edition just came out the other day, just downloaded on my switch. It’s a remaster edition.

What I want is a Chrono Trigger reboot, FF 7 style. That would be amazing and think that is still one of the best RPGs ever made.

Give me a remaster/PC port of FFT or give me death. Or Xenogears. Xenogears with some updated graphics would be a modern day blockbuster.

If they updated CT with just some nicer/more detailed (but still pixel) character models I would be happy.

A remastered Xenogears with combat tweaks and an actually finished 2nd disc would be bonkers. I feel like that 3d style with the anime cut scenes would translate pretty well to an upgrade.

FFT and Chrono Trigger will come whenever the company is in a slump and needs a quick couple hundreds of millions of dollars. With all the time travel stuff, they could easily pull off something similar to what they are doing with FF7R's story. Not that I would particularly want that, the original story was pretty flawless.

Awwwwwwwwww yeah. Got me a PS5 finally.

I don't subscribe to any kind of regular stock trackers or anything, even though I'm aware they exist. But I mostly game on PC, I invested heavily in a RTX 3080 Ti that I won the right to purchase from the New Egg Shuffle, and I also managed to snag an Xbox Series X maybe 6-9 months ago so I did already have a "next gen" console anyway. So it hadn't been urgent, but I definitely still wanted one for the Sony Exclusives.

So I just had a thought the other day to check in on how stocks of PS5s were going, and one of the first google hits was "Amazon restock today" but it was for like 9 am and that had already passed, but then also that Walmart had a restock for 1 PM ET for Walmart+ subscribers only. And it was like 12:50 pm when I was reading that.

I dashed off the Walmart.com and quickly signed up for the Walmart+ monthly service (which I'm gonna cancel the f*** out of as soon as I get the PS5), and as the clock struck 11:59pm I refreshed and the sale was already on. I quickly hit the buy button and it put me in a queue telling me it was "already gone," but that if I waited I may get the opportunity to purchase. About 15 minutes later it popped up notifying me I could "add to cart," but I had to act within 10 minutes. Sure enough I was able to get through and it should be here by May 6.

So I need the new Horizon, what else? Don't say Elden Ring.

I know, cool story bro.

Demons Souls remake
 
I'm an old hand at PC FPS games, COD Warzone Fri/Sat night with friends abroad has become our own old man poker night - and we truly hate missing it LOL

I've played the EA Battlefield series since getting a nerd gaming shop to load BF1942 Wake Island demo when it was released for me and my buddies.

I downloaded Hell Let Loose not long ago, haven't got to play it much but that game ain't for the faint of heart. (and being on a headset with your squad is a must)
