Nice! It’s a fun ass class, and a lot less stressful than tanking was in XI.

I’m so close to getting it. I’m so into FF that I don’t want another game taking any time away from it, at least for now.

I've played a decent bit so here are my thoughts so far....

Even though the game gets a ton of love for the visuals (totally deserved) the game play is really where it shines. Reminds me a ton of a hybrid between Horizon Zero Dawn and old school Assassins Creed. So far, this game has done a flawless job between balancing stealth and savagery. The difficulty isn't Bloodborne level, but I've died more than a handful of times and every single time it's been my fault (If a game is going to be hard, it should be fair, unless it's a fromsoft game but in that case, you know what you're signing up for.)

There is sooooo much shit to do in this game. Its as if they shoved Witcher 3 level of content into a smaller map. It borders on overwhelming but a ton of the side quests are "Hey, some shit happened, lets go f*** up some Mongolians!"

I prefer things like that over fetch quests or escort missions (which are the worst) and thankfully the combat is excellent. If this game had FF15 combat (which was cool at first, but got super boring), I would have quit.

Would you say the open world is as open as let’s say, Red Dead 2 (which I enjoyed immensely)?

FF combat was interesting at first but as you mentioned, quickly got a bit stale. Kinda turned into a button masher where battle strategy wasn’t very complex.

I absolutely fell in love with Samurai’s and their history so I’m pretty sure I’ll get it eventually — I was just curious to hear more about the game, especially the fighting. :thumbu:

You're free to roam anywhere and do anything.... to an extent. There are some things that require you to progress the story before you can actually complete (or even access) them.

But again, even if you can't access every region off the bat, the map is so densely packed with things to do you won't notice.

Finished Ghost of Tsushima.

Parts of the story realllly slog on but the 40% of the story is excellent and there are multiple endings for those of you who care about that sort of thing.

9.5/10, would play again.

I’m playing through Jedi Fallen Order for the first time, unreal how bad this game runs

Doesn’t have a consistent frame rate, stutters constantly, object pop in, and just horrendous load times

The game has been out almost a year, you’d think EA woulda figured this shit out

Yeah but the game itself is awesome.

Loving FHM 6. Decided to do a historical simulation since 1926-1927 as, of course, the NY Rangers. Now on 1947-48, with 11 consecutive cups. Drafted Howe and Richard. Going after Jacques Plante at the next draft. :naughty::laugh:

For all the souls fans out there, I got Mortal Shell a few days ago and it's the best non-FromSoft soulsy type game I've played so far. The combat is a little more simplistic, and I wish there was more stuff (it's only a $30 game so I'm not really complaining too much), but it absolutely nails the atmosphere and feel

Is this just a random video game thread?
If so what did anyone think of the Res Evil 8 trailer?

They seem to be going in the way of paranormal phenomena which I kinda like but Res Evil was made on zombies

Can someone please explain to me how to hit the damn ball in MLB 20 The Show? I have high overall players but i'm awful. I lose games 2-0,3-0. Pitching is good but i can't get a hit.
Its not possible. They made hitting way too hard in the Show 20. And even when you get great contact, the ball always dies in the outfield. Its like hello have you been watching baseball the past couple of years? Looks like the game developers didn't get the juiced ball memo.

In conclusion, f*** that game.

I think it looks awesome and can't wait for it to come out. I played RE7 and RE2 Remake and loved both of them, haven't played RE3 Remake yet though.

I have to check this one out.

My last two (PS4) to finish were Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider - both of which just carry on the legacy awesomely. Really liked both games.

Trying to get into Outer Worlds now, as I loved New Vegas back in the day but too soon to render any kind of verdict on it.

Just bought a Super Nintendo (the original not the mini)

been too long since I’ve had one. Got Super Mario World, Soul Blazer and am trying to get Super Metroid and DKC 1/2 on a deal.
