Stop trying to make Zegras happen.
Its not going to happen.
Nor should anyone want it to happen.

That was a year ago though. Not sure he still holds the same value.Yeah so that pretty much confirm Mailloux still has a solid value.
II would do if the trade was for expendable players. His contract is up after this season so they could see what happens and decide whether to extend him. Hughes knows him so if they were willing to trade for him there is nothing wrong with his character. Now presumably they wouldn't be interested unless they think he will play a complete game.Stop trying to make Zegras happen.

Laine wouldn't be here if we made Zegras tradeI can only begin to imagine how much a Laine-Zegras-Demidov line would get absolutely caved in defensively. Awful fit and not the right player for this team
Okay switch Newhook with Laine on that line and it’s still going to get caved in.Laine wouldn't be here if we made Zegras trade

My comment was just about Mailloux's value.Zegras didn't have that "bounceback" season, makes 5.75 with one year left, and then needs a QO of 5.75. He's also UFA eligible in 2 years.
I'd be willing to bet the 22 year old 6'3 RD prospect retained value better than the overpaid winger/center with two years of overpaid control.
At some point pro scouting seriously needs to be questioned. Dach/Newhook/Zegras all suck as top 6 forwards and bring nothing useful in a bottom 6 role.Marco said on Shaun Start last night at the draft, Zegras offer Habs had on table was Mailloux and 21 for Zegras and a 2nd
Yeah, it was reported last summer actually. They nixed the deal because Demidov was still available at 5. Demidov and Zegras fill the same role so they don't need both.Marco said on Shaun Start last night at the draft, Zegras offer Habs had on table was Mailloux and 21 for Zegras and a 2nd
Amenno thanks
this should be a dead subject.
he is not coming and unless for free
He was injured for part of the season and probably wasn't used properly. Ducks haven't had a real coach since he was drafted. He should be more of a last resort though because they should be looking for power forward types.Zegras didn't have that "bounceback" season, makes 5.75 with one year left, and then needs a QO of 5.75. It's in reference to a trade that was almost made a year ago, not now.
Zegras current value is not really relevant here.

Strange cause our most soft and ́lazy players are big....Dach, LaineSummer is coming, with all those trade rumors for 5’9 players, wingers, Centers that are actually wingers, players 37+ and players softer then Armia.
Zegras, Rossi, Marchessault, Ehlers, Lafrenière, etc
Dach was far from soft in passed years. He came back from a serious injury. When you are maybe one injury from the league, it must get to your head at one pointStrange cause our most soft and ́lazy players are big....Dach, Laine
Mailloux value is about a late firstMy comment was just about Mailloux's value.

Were they using stools?Just saw Zegras on Cremazie playing pool with Caufield.
What if it's Laine(50%) + Newhook for ZegrasDach, Laine, Newhook and Zegras.
That would be quite the rebuild.
''Here'' meaning my post and not the thread. But fair point. My mistake, I assumed because this is a Zegras thread that it was relevant here.
Mailloux value is about a late first
