Fest kicks off in Gainesville this weekend. It is the longest running punk music festival anywhere.

Fest is underway. I can't hear anything at my apartment but driving downtown was a sea of ink, cutoff black jeans and t-shirts.

Add a bunch of grey beards, and you described Furnace Fest.

There was definitely some grey hair in the mix. The only weird thing were the quintet of good old frat boys in their overly lifted trucks that haven't done a day of work in their lives rolling around near it. They trying to get stomped or what?

Three songs I got obsessed about in the past week:

Sorry to respond to a year and a half old post, but I was just visiting the Bills' board after the win and I happened to notice your guys' music thread and had to respond to the Yes video. As much as I dislike 80's Yes (I won't say "hate"), I love that version of Würm from Starship Trooper off of their 9012 Live video. One of the best versions of Würm around. Kudos (or should I say Khatrus!)

I love both 70s and 80s Yes equally (and Drama which is like a bridge between the two). There are some real gems when Rabin does the Howe stuff.

I also saw the Union tour live (one of my favorite shows ever!) and saw ARW in Buffalo in 2017.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out Rick Beato's recent interview with Rick Wakeman.

Will check it out, thanks!

Drama certainly has some good stuff. 90125 and BG are actually fine too, just not 70’s Yes is all.

Best thing I ever think I saw them do was Awaken on the Union tour. Mesmerizing.

Go Bills!

Definitely check out Talk too if you haven't. I have the original CD but they just reissued it after years of being out of print. Endless Dream is right up there with the 70's epics.

Funny how the production group - the producer, sound engineers, etc... from 90125 decided to keep doing things and that resulted in this -

(Yes, yes, Horn was momentarily part of Yes but I won't hold that against him. )
