The All Encompassing All Consuming All Burgeoning All Lane Hutson Rookie Defenseman Milestones Records Watch

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Already one of the best defensemen in the NHL, this kid is a gift from God to Habs fans

Absolute gift from the heavens

I was already really high on him and I remember people at work calling me crazy for not only expecting him to get 30-40pts but for him to even start the season in MTL without any games in the AHL as a Dman. He is already blowing away my '' crazy take '.

Every day when Hutson dominates and I talk to these coworkers, I don't even have to say anything to them, I just raise and eyebrow and they already know Hutson is dunking on their hockey knowledge through me.

We all knew he had the talent offensively but his defensive game is really underrated.

Nah Macklin and his vaunted two way game and gracious -24 overtook Lane.

It was a collective effort. I had a similar title, but in overwhelming numbers, I was told to add the All-Burgeoning, which was the cherry missing on top.
Last year, Bedard won the Calder Trophy with -44 (leader of his team too), 2nd worst overall last season. I swear nobody ever mentioned anything about his defensive game and lack of size for his position and if it was sustainable. I wonder why? 🤔

Oh yes, btw, Bedard is still dead last this year in -/+ with -36. At least he is consistent in that regard.

Lane Hutson just became only the 5th rookie defenseman to register 50 assists in his rookie season, passing Nicklas Lidstrom (49).

He's now only 2 points away from solely holding the #10 position for points by a rookie dman.

3 points away.

2 points would make him tied for 10th with 3 others.
I made my post before he had his 2nd point of the game.

And no, go check. He's tied at 56 for #10 all-time. He now needs a single point to hold the position alone.

Next time you want to correct someone, at least check the facts first.

Perhaps if they worried about playing defense in Montreal, they would have won against Philly?

I'm a Toronto fan who has been rooting for Montreal (and Ottawa) to make the playoffs.
How could they lose tonight's game?

Crappy 1st period and garbage goaltending. Hutson was the best player for the Habs and a +1, 2A, 29 mins player.
