He only gets points because of his teammates and he’s actually on the ice for far more goals against than the statistics show. I just think there are better choices for the award . I don’t think we should reward players like him
Tied for 4th in scoring among defensemen in the NHL, just insane2 more assists for him so far
From 49 points to 51 points...leapfrogs Seider and Makar who each finished with 50 points in their rookie seasons.
Kid is going to put up 90 points playing with Ivan Demidov

Already one of the best defensemen in the NHL, this kid is a gift from God to Habs fans
Love the Green.I wouldn’t mind if he loses out on the trophy because it’s hilarious when canadiens fans are miserable. I wouldn’t even have him on my ballot.
Last year, Bedard won the Calder Trophy with -44 (leader of his team too), 2nd worst overall last season. I swear nobody ever mentioned anything about his defensive game and lack of size for his position and if it was sustainable. I wonder why?Nah Macklin and his vaunted two way game and gracious -24 overtook Lane.
It was a collective effort. I had a similar title, but in overwhelming numbers, I was told to add the All-Burgeoning, which was the cherry missing on top.
Lane Hutson just became only the 5th rookie defenseman to register 50 assists in his rookie season, passing Nicklas Lidstrom (49).
He's now only 2 points away from solely holding the #10 position for points by a rookie dman.
I made my post before he had his 2nd point of the game.3 points away.
2 points would make him tied for 10th with 3 others.

And no, go check. He's tied at 56 for #10 all-time. He now needs a single point to hold the position alone.

Next time you want to correct someone, at least check the facts first.
I stand corrected.
Notice how I wasn't so touchy about it?
Crappy 1st period and garbage goaltending. Hutson was the best player for the Habs and a +1, 2A, 29 mins player.Perhaps if they worried about playing defense in Montreal, they would have won against Philly?
I'm a Toronto fan who has been rooting for Montreal (and Ottawa) to make the playoffs.
How could they lose tonight's game?
