The 2024-2025 Roster Thread

Me knowing what was offered isn't based in EF reporting it. I heard we actually had 2 different offers on the table, one being the one everyone has heard of.

Ths isn't me giving him a pass on everything he's done (or hasn't done) up to this point. I'm just saying unless you want to throw Kulich or Power into the deal too that you can't force Allvin's hand.

We are pretty well f***ed now and I'm disappointed. I have no idea what we're gonna do now and that's on Adams for backing himself into a corner that we desperately needed this trade to work.
Any idea what the 2nd offer was? Or like general parameters? Something around Power?

J.T. Miller is returning to the Rangers in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks along with two prospects, Jackson Dorrington and Erik Brannstrom, according to multiple reports. The Rangers are reportedly sending Filip Chytil, prospect Victor Mancini and a protected first-round draft pick to Vancouver.
Pretty underwhelming return for Vancouver in my opinion.

A guy with a history of wearing out his welcome in locker rooms, with 5 years left on his contract, who was openly sparring with his teams' star player. Vancouver was NEVER getting more for JTM, regardless of how good he can be when he tries.

I now await the first report of Panarin and JTM not getting along.

yea, and a healthy Chytl is a pretty good player, question is if he'll ever be 100% again.

There's an argument that an engaged and healthy Chytl is a better player than Cozens is right now. Granted, Cozens has the potential to be way better.......but right now....there's an argument.

That said -- EP40/Chytl as a 1-2 punch is..........frail.

Completely disagree I think Rangers got worked especially considering that he made trade control.

That Miller contract has maybe 1 year left on it before it gets real sour then you've got 6 more after that. Rangers going for it this year and next.

I think Miller has 5 years left on his deal, but other than that small detail, I completely agree with your assessment in your post.

I guess your right for a guy who has averaged 95 pts a season for the last 3 years.
And who is turning 32 shortly, who's play this season has severely dropped off, who will be lucky to score 60 points, who is also signed for 5 more years to a huge contract, who had a full NMC, and who has a history of locker room drama.

Not to mention that his big scoring seasons were mostly because he was scoring 40% of his points on the Power play, which is almost never replicated after a trade.

Three nice pieces is honestly more than I thought Vancouver would get for him. Time will tell if they lost the trade as badly as most of the knee-jerk reactions are claiming they did today.
