Teddy was a guy many draftniks loved as a late riser going into the 2024 draft. American kid who works his bag off and is a glue guy... but he's 5'10" and under 180 lbs. wound up down at 55OA.
I want Svechkov if one of the parts is out of prospect.

"Uhhh, Terry... I did a thing, but before I tell you, promise me you won't get mad." Kevain Adams after making that deal. It's a rom-com in the making.
It will save him a lot of money if trade Cozens for Novak and futures,

Nashville might be in one of the worst situations in the league. A bunch of massive deals for declining vets, have been good enough to not have any recent high draft picks, no reason for much optimism.

I know that’s the pot calling the kettle black, but misery loves company.

They do have 3 first rounders and a chance to pick high. But between the fact that the 2025 draft isnt particularly deep nor has any stud player thus far, and their history of not developing their first rounders well, yeah...

Funny that they seem to desperately need a 2C so they are trying to get a 2C from a team who also needs a 2C when that new 2C should be the 2RW instead.

I guess that's the way she goes.

2C is like the starting QB of the NHL, in that there are always more teams in need of one than there are actually players of that caliber in existence.

And then people think that a good 3C is actually a good 2C in their situation. Or that a 3C or a 4C is so easy to find.

I think I need more coffee. This seems like it's going to be painful.

The only offer I'd accept is something around Josi + Novak + ??? for Cozens and Jokiharju And add in we are trading Byram for another solid tier center

The solace I’m keeping is that Adams, when he actually makes trades, hasn’t really been fleeced. I don’t think he could’ve done better for Reinhart or Eichel under those circumstances, and the Risto trade was a steal. McLeod looks good. Byram has been fine.

I'm mixed on that - mostly due to the Reinhart and Montour returns. Solid for Greenway, McLeod so far, Byram so far but having a hard time with his vision. Eric Robinson was someone he managed to pull from CBus even though he was a waiver bait and look what he's doing in a structured system in Carolina? That guy was their version of NAK/Malenstyn/Lafferty and already here... but didn't get utilized by Granato.

Anyway... it's probably the caffeine and my anxiety mixing. :biglaugh:

If McLeod did not have his massive heater to start this year, we would be saying he is just another disappointment.

Byram was probably just best player he could get with the intention of replacing Mitts, which failed.

If he’s actually desperate to acquire cozens, let him overpay for the pleasure
That's the problem, he has nothing to overpay with. No, well, if there are many first ones and then we turn them over for legit players, but all this is complicated and unrealistic.

It would probably be a player from the team like Novak and a young player like ZLH or Svechkov.

While I don't know why we would trade Cozens in a hurry and for the wrong pieces, we could shake up with another trade.

I wonder if the scouting huddle leads more to something like Farabee for Quinn?

I think a real gm could pull off the cozens > currency > new player moves, but Adams…
