It says clearly in Tulsky’s interview on spitting chiclets that their camp officially said they didn’t want to talk extension while he was with the Avs, and he also says in the same interview that he had multiple conversations that led them to feel they had a good chance to get him signed and put it at anywhere between 50-85% he would sign despite what their camp said. The whole interview is out there. Curious that they’re using the cut down version!

Rantanen will put up 90pts next season. He is the Stars best player. Doesn't matter what line he's on, he will have star players around him.

Canes GM confirms that Rantanen never indicated before the trade that he was willing to sign there. In fact, they traded for him despite him specifically saying he wanted to sign in Colorado. They thought they could convince him once he was there but they were unable to. No idea how the player can be blamed for any of this

My big problem with him was his Attitude/how he played in Carolina. You can't change how that went, and showed his true character.
