I’m starting to believe that Kevyn Adams spends all year working on trades he knows won’t go through so he can say he’s trying while not spending a dime, making a move, or fixing anything.

Not one player under 27 can block a trade. He has the money (allegedly) to give a contract almost every team would struggle to. And he can’t find one move?

Because he isn't a shitty player and you seem to have a target on him and not the other shitty players in the org, thus the prompted question

Because he is largely given a pass by fanbase. A player that offers nothing shouldn't be here. Sure I could be the 500th person on here to call Cozens a loser and to jettison his ass but it isn’t needed.

Rarely is Krebs a rat.. when he throws a check players brush him off like a flea.. he makes the dumbest passes and is a turnover machine.

I have no use for those types of players.

Ruff has fallen in love with him for running around the ice doing nothing but look busy and is his new Matt Ellis.

There is no target on his back.. I have ripped Power and Tuch, Dahlin, Quinn, Cozens .. probably every single player except Malenstyn, NAK, Lafferty, and probably Greenway and Benson, Zucker.

Krebs has been handed opportunity after opportunity since he got here and done nothing with it. Not even a glimpse.

The team is soft. They can’t handle old man Lindy being the least bit critical of them without turtling. If Torts were here he’d 1. Be fired almost immediately. And even if he wasn’t these kids would be crying in their cars in the parking lot, refusing to come in for game day.

My point is, they don’t need harder coaching, they need more hardened peers. Too many softies. And too many prior soft coaches to stroke their egos when Lindy isn’t listening.

Right now we’re watching kids who just went to college, then mom and dad held their hand through grad school and are now out in the real world all on their own.
Thats how you know what ones to trade.

FWIW Rivet has said he thinks Power would be a tougher player with a tough grizzled vet next to him to learn from. Why that has not happened in 4 years is beyond me but the GM has to take the blame for it.

The same could be said about Dahlin, he didn't get this veteran either. But we got Byram, who didn't seem to be very necessary. :eek3:

Bringing in Byram a finesse puck moving defenseman makes no sense when we already have Power and Dahlin.

Its almost like it was more about getting rid of Mittelstadt than getting a player that this team need here.

Or maybe Adams just doesn't know how to determine the right targets for trading.

Cressona/Reading, PA
Is this Samuelsson's last chance coming up ? if he can stay healthy for 10 games ?
I think last chance is over-dramatizing it a bit. And it's not his health I'm particularly worried about -- it was his play before the injury. Dude was ass.

If he can play the way he's played before......I think we can all live with him missing 10ish games a year due to the puck hitting him in the wrong spot or getting something tangled when making a hit or standing up for a guy.

The NHL has a history of guys who were "injury prone" until they weren't. If Sammy's play doesn't tick up....that'd be far more concerning.

Here’s what’s going to happen

Quinn, Peterka and Levi get bridge deals. We don’t spend to the cap for another three years because we need to keep that money safe for their future extensions.

Byram is moved because you can’t pay 3 D that much.

Amazing how much our defense sucks and Adams refuses to do anything about it.

Even all the defensemen going through waivers in the last two years and still does nothing

The truth is that Adams is going to fail to help the roster for so long that they have no choice to blow it up and rebuild again. Because this group’s time has been spent saving money, cutting corners, and complaining about how hard it is to do a job you were never qualified for.

At least they’ll get their excuse for not spending back. You know…the one people accepted like fools? That you aren’t spending money because you have top talent on ELCs…as if that made any f***ing sense. Those are called competitive windows…and Adams glued it shut.

They had Dahlin, Tage, Power and Cozens making less than Dahlin makes no COMBINED the year they missed by one point. And Adams spent the least in the league. Any time he tells you he has all the resources from ownership…remember that. And that he ran it back. And that he was still here anyway two years later.
