Cozens for Kuzmenko, Honzek, and picks....

:thumbd:
Does the writer explain why they think the 1st rounder would be of interest to Buffalo? All Adams has said for months is that he wants to make moves to improve the team, not trade for picks and prospects.

Just seems like another writer with no clue about Buffalo.

That is absolutely the case.

But, it shows the challenge of trying to turn players like Cozens into upgrades to the NHL roster. You are likely to get more of these kinds of offers than being able to trade Cozens + futures for a veteran top 6 center that can improve the team now.

Tell them we need top 4 RDs and top 6 C.
My guess is that they hang up at that point.

Who says no in a DC for Weegar swap? Money is relatively even.
Well, actually, Weegar could have just said, but it's interesting. Maybe we could somehow expand the deal with other parts.

Weegar is at the top of my shortlist, you probably won't find a better defender who fits our needs in every way.

Eh, I would not like that deal. Buffalo takes on the age risk for sure.

If you are moving Cozens, it has to be for a similar aged player or as a package for an established player. We have until the summer of 2026 where we can still buy him out at 1/3rd if things go south. Don't move Cozens just for the sake of moving him. And don't take on a contract that is harder to get rid of than his.

Joker needs to be number 6-7 and Bryson 7-8.

I get the feeling that Kevyn is happy with his team though

I'm not sure about that.

Cozens+ for a better center could make sense. We can play Cozens on the wing for now, but we just don't have a 2C.

Until we find a legit 2C I would be loathe to trade any center prospect.
And if that means giving up one central prospect? I can easily do that because I'm done holding on to all the prospects. We have Kulich, Helenius, Ostlund. Of course, I wouldn't mind trading Rosen first, but I'm tired of waiting for all these prospects and losing again.
