Quinn hasn't played to the blue and gold standard and should sit. Just because he made some cut moves to the inside of the ice and peppered a puck into the crest of the goalie doesn't mean hes trending the right way.

*applauds Ruff*

Maybe its him doing everything better that he is trending the right way. *Applauds stupidity*

I still don't get it, Quinn deserved the press box way back when he was playing bad and couldn't even skate properly. But when he started playing better and better he gets a healthy scratch? The only reason is they want Krebs on Cozens' wing and not 4C. But even then Quinn could actually be more useful than Lafferty or NAK in the lineup.

Is it ridiculous to wonder if this could be the reason Quinn sits despite 2 decent games recently?
I had that thought straight away, but I'm not sure about it. Although it's interesting how Forton and Adams evaluated Jiricek in the draft.

Pet peeve, I haven;t watched any Jiricek since the draft year. Went to youtube to try to see some clips and there's nothing worse than a "highlight reel" for a defenseman that's 90% shots from the point.

Is Pens going to offer McGroarty? Not sure if the Flyers have good options, though it might not be exactly a prospect. Wild and San Jose have interesting trade options, as do we.

My concern with acquiring Jiricek is (1) just how vocal he has been about his displeasure with his situation, and (2) he has complained about how he’s not getting PP time, which wouldn’t get here, either.

Is he really a style fit?

Its possible Quinn being offered for Jiricek
Maybe Sullivan will be gone soon, who knows. Nashville is just doing the wrong thing.

I like Whitecloud. I've also seen reports from Vegas fans that he might be expendable since he doesn't play in the top 4 when everyone is healthy, plus they have the cheaper Korczak. But I have no idea what Vegas will be looking for, maybe something around one of our forward prospects as a base.
I dont see ehitecloud as s mid pair. I see him BBC as bottom pair who could do mid vnn pair for a little.

This is just one reason why I hate any Kreider or Trouba to Buffalo ideas. It opens the door to Rangers fans and their trade ideas.

Friends don't let friends talk about trading for a Rangers player on the internet.

Was this a serious offer? That was bad

“Initially they had focused on trying to get another prospect like him, sort of a kind-for-kind type of deal, but they have shifted their expectations”

Didn't really see the improvement that would have me excited with Quinn so understandably he deserved to be benched if it is true. Other than a couple plays where he skated into a slot for opportunity he did basically nothing especially in their own zone where he rarely pressured anyone and his line got outscored in 4 of the 5 past games while not winning any of them. His lone goal of the season is still the empty netter.

Exactly, as someone mentioned above, faint praise recently because hes been more noticeable shooting the puck but its very faint and a couple days cant erase an entire month just like that. He needs to take a bigger step than what he has shown the last couple games.

I think Kevyn should make an effort to get Jiricek. I think it's actually quite important because it's rare to find a good RD, physical, with a shot, especially with first pair potential, and all our prospects at that position can wait a long time. We'll already have a big jam in the attack, Rosen won't get a spot, other players, we'll have to choose someone.

I tried to tell all you guys that Quinn was a bad draft pick. 😏
The board wanted Rossi (me too), mostly it seems, but I can't say Quinn is a bad player, he was just unlucky with injuries. In Rochester he was very good, in the NHL he showed his potential, but maybe the injuries affected him, it's not easy.

Moving Kulich back to the wing seems less than ideal.
The Quinn situation is problematic. No one else has been given this much runway to get their game going. Every time Quinn's name is brought up, Ruff either sites improvement or makes excuses for him about length of time to recover from injury. Now they have a guy that is ready to push him out of the lineup and Ruff is going to probably sit Kulich.

Doesnt appear so as Kulich is locked in on PP2 during practice today.
