This is a dangerous road, why change something that works well. There is a risk of getting two bad lines in the top 6 at once, Peterka's energy helps the first line a lot, especially since Touch is not in an optimal state and seems not so fast now, putting the slow Quinn there. Also, Peterka may not help Cozens to understand his cockroaches in his head, although in theory it could work, but I don't want to change the first line. They may want to look at giving Cozens Peterka. As much as we love that first line, Quinn can benefit from the time and space Tage and Tuch create, could get him going. Peterka makes the second line immediately dangerous at any given moment.
Yea i said something akin to "He's been a little slow to start the season but he is getting chances and working hard so i am sure he'll turn it around"You're a doing a great service taking one for the team.
I'd repeat a variation of, "It took CM some time to put it together, and he caught a lot of hate before he could hawkey properly. He'll be 26 before the end of the year. Cozens is still 23 into early 2025, not to mention that they both had to suffer through some shit tier coaching on the Sabres, along with Cozens getting Derek Morris'd. I still think DC has time", to myself until it becomes reality.
From White Horse..I know I'm beating a dead horse.
It is only dangerous if it doesn't work, and you keep it together. This is a dangerous road, why change something that works well. If Cozens and Quinn can't figure things out in the next few games, then it's up to Adams to make the decision. While Lindy could potentially put one of them in the press box for a few games, that hasn't happened yet.
My suggestion is to move Tuch to cozens. Then you haveThey may want to look at giving Cozens Peterka. As much as we love that first line, Quinn can benefit from the time and space Tage and Tuch create, could get him going. Peterka makes the second line immediately dangerous at any given moment.
Kulich is different. Hrs a pure rookie to nhl. Others have 75+ gamesThis team has Kulich, Benson, Cozens and Quinn who have the ability to give more then what they have.(Benson currently injured)
Just from a statistical standpoint and maybe take Kulich out since he is a rookie it can't be possible that all 3 underperform.
I would like to think sooner or later these guys snap out of it and this team can go on a nice win streak.
I don't have any issue with that move. Part of the move was to spark Quinn as well, can he slot on RW?My suggestion is to move Tuch to cozens. Then you have

yyy are Zucker, greenway, nak, lafferty
xxx are Quinn, benson, lich, or another winger

Still, I'm not a fan of changing what works as long as it works. I think Peterka is perfect for first line and has chemistry with Tage.It is only dangerous if it doesn't work, and you keep it together.
At this point maybe they should move Cozens to Tage's wing. Just for a few games to see if it gets him going. My suggestion is to move Tuch to cozens. Then you have

Krebs would slide in at 3C. Makes for a pretty poor center spine though.Regrettably I think you do have a much better chance of fixing Cozens on the wing than at centre, but I don’t know where that really leaves the team if it happens. I like RML but I don’t know if he can carry the weight of 2C, and his shift then demands filling that 3C hole as well.
Anyway I don’t see the solution here without adding a centre
Fair point. I don’t hate him or anything but I think that’s probably asking too much of him.Krebs would slide in at 3C. Makes for a pretty poor center spine though.

Still would love Brock Nelson. I think he fixes line 2 and is insurance for line 1.
I would then target Barzal. The Isles thread on the main trade board seems to indicate a lot of folks think their team should be interested in Nelson.
I never really get people asking moving him to wing his best play in his career was when he was at center not wing.Regrettably I think you do have a much better chance of fixing Cozens on the wing than at centre, but I don’t know where that really leaves the team if it happens. Where on wings dorsnt matter as much.I don't have any issue with that move. Part of the move was to spark Quinn as well, can he slot on RW?
The simplest reason for me is that he’s hockey dumb. Dumb centers rarely find consistent success.I never really get people asking moving him to wing his best play in his career was when he was at center not wing.
if I have to hear another isles fan talk up Nelson while trying to sell him I'm gonna let someones cat bite my feet until I bleed out and die....The Isles thread on the main trade board seems to indicate a lot of folks think their team should be interested in Nelson.
Not sure if he's what the Sabres need, but he has been a pretty consistent shooter over his career outside of one season where he shot like 21%. Don't know that he would fit the roster construction and the Sabres playstyle, but there are worse options out there.if I have to hear another isles fan talk up Nelson while trying to sell him I'm gonna let someones cat bite my feet until I bleed out and die....
"There are worse options out there" should be our free agency mantra. We didn't learn from Moulson or Okposo yet?Not sure if he's what the Sabres need, but he has been a pretty consistent shooter over his career outside of one season where he shot like 21%. Don't trade for former Islanders?"There are worse options out there" should be our free agency mantra. We didn't learn from Moulson or Okposo yet?
