I never really get people asking moving him to wing his best play in his career was when he was at center not wing.
I mean the best play in his career was in the World Championships a few years back. When he was on the wing.
More importantly…he is not playing up to the role of 2C and we can’t continue to let that line sink their games. Moving Cozens to wing isn’t about believing his game will turn around with less responsibility and less ice to cover (but it should help)…it’s about seeing, after a full year of failing, if he belongs in an NHL lineup at all. Don’t mistake wanting to move him to wing as thinking he will thrive. It has everything to do with the degree to which he has been failing at center. And whether there is anything left worth believing in at all. Put him there. Take him off the PP. Take him off the PK. Simplify things. And find out how bad the problem really is.
