Looking forward to seeing RJ paired with Byram.

It's telling that Cozens is going to Kulich's wing -- certainly seems like Ruff believes that Kulich is a center.
It's also quite telling that Quinn can't crack this lineup right now.

We'll see how Krebs does. It appears as if he'll be taking faceoffs for the line while Tage plays center during play.

Hopefully this is the beginning of Cozens' tryout as a top 6 winger. I have my doubts that he will live up to being a 7 million winger, but we will see.

Peterka should be next on the hot seat. He needs to show that he can bring some hard skill.

Because Power-Byram is just as much of a disaster and Clifton can't handle the minutes that Power gets.

Well, Joker can't handle those minutes either, he's not good. So Clifton could very well get 1-2 games with Power.

The defensive core as constructed is a disaster. Dahlin's absence just makes it more painfully clear.

gilbert, bryson, and joker being asked to do more than they can handle is one "roster construction" issue, which is lack of another rd, but again that might even be solved with some attempts at different pairings

And this may be scandalous, but joker has looked his best when he's more aggressive offensively.

in addition to Clifton maybe helping power, we might still get some usefulness out of joker if his job isn't cover for one of the mobile guys

Now people know why I mentioned Caleb Jones. Joker and Bryson got to go. Not saying Jones is the answer but its an upgrade. Not shuffling chairs.

Jones is a free asset and will be great not seeing Joker and Bryson out there.

Bryson and Joker need to go ASAP.

Edit: nvm looking at past years his numbers were still rough with a stay at home partner, but minutes were limited

Imagine going so far down the rat hole that they end up with McLeod / Kulich / Krebs / Lafferty as the C spine.

If I felt like staying up later, I would be a Winnipeg Jets or Wild fan. The Sabres have actually made me hate the NHL though (well, and the rigged officiating).

I know every other GMs passed up on acquiring Fabbro for next to nothing before he got waived but man. Insert Fabbro. Bench Jokiharju. Waive Bryson. The defense suddenly looks solid.

Don't know why the Sabres keep losing the pace of their game in the 3rd. I'd guess it's the Coaching.

How bout try Jay Woodcroft. Your defense will be spotty, but atleast you'll play with pace for a Full 60.

I was probably more pessimistic at the Sabres chances this year than most. Ironically the move I criticized most (Zucker) has worked out well. It's everything else that has went to shit.

One thing to consider when evaluating the Adams era:

Thompson was complete found money. He was on his way out of the org. Adams tried to trade him previously. He was almost out of the NHL when it clicked and started working.

If that hadn't happened or Adams was successful in trading Thompson, Adams would have seen absolutely zero success in his 5 years of being the GM.

How about firing the guy who put a shitty roster on the ice and has been here for five years instead of the coach who has been here for less than 30 games and hasn't been allowed to bring in his own coaching staff. I think my idea is better.

He hasn't achieved any success and has screwed up yet, next.

That they tank it here to get out to the palm trees ? If so, that would be unethical if not criminal.
