Like to get a look at this kid during the tournament. Sweet name.
Seattle plays on Friday. Here's hoping Mynio is back in action. Was watching some Mynio footage and the more I see him the more I really like him, maybe more than any other defenseman not named Willander in the pipeline. He’s got great feet, can make a pass out of the defensive zone or skate it out, and has a real active stick and solid positioning. He’s does take some risks that wouldn’t fly in the NHL but he uses his skating to get back into defense— all things I think are very coachable. But I definitely see a solid puckmoving potential there and he might be the best defenseman in the pipeline not named Willander.
I see the Sens are all bent out of shape because Carter Yaremchuk, their first round draft choice last spring and a training camp sensation, wasn't even invited to the main Team Canada training camp for the World Juniors.
But historically, this has been a tournament for 19-year olds......so I'm not surprised that Mynio earned an invite ahead of him.
Hopefully yes - went to the game last Friday in Victoria and was very disappointed he wasn't in the lineup.Seattle plays on Friday. Here's hoping Mynio is back in action.
Hockey Canada is obsessed with winning this World Jr. tournament every year, particularly after last year's disappointing finish in Sweden.Yakemchuk is an 05 who missed being eligible for the 2023 draft by a few days.
And Sens fans are right and it is absurd he wasn’t even invited to this camp.
I cant think of a better Canadian defensive U20 prospectHockey Canada is obsessed with winning this World Jr. tournament every year, particularly after last year's disappointing finish in Sweden.
If they felt Yaremchuk could help them.....he'd definitely be there.

I simply don't watch enough junior hockey to comment on whether Carter Yaremchuk belongs on this team or not. And when comes to building rosters, I agree that Hockey Canada has made some glaring omissions in the past.Hockey Canada wanting to win this tournament and Hockey Canada doing very stupid things are not mutually exclusive.
From people I know in Calgary, he's got the whole junior Evan Bouchard going on. Forgets about having to defend most night.I cant think of a better Canadian defensive U20 prospect
Yes. He's at B.U. and the Canucks still have his rights. Is Aidan Celebrini still in our system?
It's too bad Aiden didn't get to move up the line up with the vets moving on.Yes. He's at B.U. and the Canucks still have his rights.
Here's a useful link to track any and every prospect that's still in the system, whether there's a realistic chance of them playing for the Canucks or not (looking at you, Artyom Manukyan):

I hope so, I really want to see him in the AHL and see if he can take that step up. They need to move out some LHD in Abbotsford though.I wonder if we'll be signing Dorrington in April, similar to what we did with Mueller at the same age.

It would be great to see something like this by the end of the season:
Krudryavstev - McWard
Pettersson - Willander
Dorrington - Woo
Mynio
Silovs
Young
