I mean, it's sexy to me. But I feel that to rebuild you must start on D first, then G. Your front end should be built last unless a #1 C is staring you in the face.

If the objective for drafting a goalie was to get a guy that will never command more than 2 million a season, we just did that.

We could have had Cossa without moving up. We were 7 f***ing picks away and the teams in that range didn't need a goalie.

I don't hate the pick, but I hate the fact that Stevie paid to move up. Outbidding yourself move.

the aspect i like besides being huge n athletic is great puck handler . and a ton of skaters already went b4 him so odds of a star reduced . so yzerman went to best goalie in draft according to his crew

LHD or goalie were always the best targets for us in the 1st round. After that center, but I believe the 2022 draft will be stacked on forwards and centers. Maybe 2023 also.
