7 players had more ice-time than Tarasenko in game 7:

Backes- 22:17
Steen- 21:03
Stastny- 20:35
Brouwer- 18:13
Schwartz- 17:23
Fabbri- 17:02
Lehtera- 15:02
Tarasenko- 14:31

Tarasenko missed a couple shifts in the game for an equipment issue but the point still remains. I wonder how far the Blues can go if Hitchcock keeps this up. Especially leaning on perennial playoff underachievers Backes, Steen, and Brouwer so much more than Tarasenko. If the Stars/Wild series was any indication, the Blues are gonna need to score some goals. Especially if Seguin returns.

Rangers trades the last 16 months. If they don't re-sign Yandle it's going to look ugly. Add signing Boyle as a UFA and letting Strålman go. Dangerous stuff, going for it.

Keith Yandle, Chris Summers 2015 4th round pick
for
Anthony Duclair, John Moore, 2015 2nd round pick, 2016 1st round pick

Carl Hagelin, 2015 2nd round pick, 2015 6th round pick
for
Emerson Etem, 2015 2nd round pick

Eric Staal
for
2017 2nd round pick, 2016 2nd round pick, Aleksi Saarela

I know we're supposed to hate them but I'm rooting for St. Louis because of Upshall. If they cant win I'm rooting for San Jose.

I recall this as well, one of the reason besides being so good at the time for Kane, is because no one really realistically challenged him throughout the year. Like it was closer between Tavares and Duchene than it was Kane and second overall.

Central Scouting's final rankings that year had Kyle Turris as the top ranked NA player over Kane. Kinda bizarre now to see who was near the top.

It boggles me that Kane and Gagner were teammates and drafted the same year - Kane seems like he's still tapping into his huge potential, whereas Gagner looks and plays like a washed-up vet.

You seriously think with Stars goaltending woes, Blues will fall flat on their faces against them? That's a pretty bold comment there D2M, will be interesting if it happens. Personally I don't think Dallas has a chance, it will be very close, and I think Blues are 1-4 against them, but playoffs are a totally different animal.

It's my wishful thinking...

I'm sure it was closer than that but I could be wrong.

If Nashville takes Anaheim tomorrow night, all 4 teams in the WC will be teams that haven't made it to the 2nd round in at least a few years. Pretty cool to see some fresh faces in there after the 1st round.

Amen. They actually had him on Altitude radio today with Keefe and Lombardi. I think it's online. Pretty good interview...such a good dude.

This good dude strung them along for half a season talking about taking hometown discounts to the media, and then signed for marginally more per year than our final offer in another city.

I guess he meant hometown in a way that not many of us expected eh?

Personally I have zero love for Stastny, he was overpaid while he was here and ended up overpaid when he left. O'Reilly is the one I miss personally.

I like Soderberg (Especially at 4.7M), Zadorov, Grigorenko, Compher, and Meloche

The one we missed out on IMO is trading Bleackley and whatever else for Neal instead of signing Iginla. That sucks to think about. I'd love to know the exact details of why that trade fell through, and how much more we would have needed to make it happen.

I used to dislike Dan Boyle, now he just became my new hero with that Brooks rant.

First I've heard of this, can you elaborate?

Not so bad for PIT either really. PAP is a very good offensive player. He could have easily been a 50pt guy for them. He doesnt bring the intangibles Horny has but they also would have gotten a first. And who knows who they picked. It could have been Pastrnak.

They were at least trying to capitalize on PA, and that would have brought us the goal scorer we're still trying to find.

Neal is a lesser version of Corey Perry, and Pit had to move him basically because of the reputation he was getting at the time. He had some suspension issues and was under the microscope with the league and the refs, so he was also getting reputation calls even in the playoffs.

Moved to a smaller market, and the heat disappeared. Hes still a **** head, but you always like those players on your team and hate them on others.

That's a stretch. I don't think PAP is very good at all.
