Damn, hope Dallas beats the Blues now.

Well, actually didn't matter who went through I wanted Dallas to win any one of them.

Game of mistakes and inches. Gustafson's turnover costs the Hawks. The double post afterwards keeps them from tying.

That's too bad.

Great series though.

Yup but They'll fall on their face next round.

Best game I've seen this year...I think.

Hawks were just gassed, shows how hard it is to go back to back. An extended offseason would do them wonders. Towes didn't look right all year, they'll be back next season.

Damn STL vs Dal would've been better as a WCF since those have been the two best teams over the season in the west imo. I think they're even and it's a toss-up but I'll pick STL because of their defence/goaltending and more experience but wouldn't be shocked either way. That and the Caps/Pens series along with whatever the final is will be the best.

Q expecting OT?

Weber sends preds to game 7... As much as I love him, he'll never get anything with Nashville. That offer sheet was a death sentence for his career.

You think he would have been better off in Philly? lol

I've followed it relatively closely, he seem pretty cool he did nothing wrong from the start. After what the girls mother did, and the DA dropping the charges we'd be hypocrites to condemn him, not to mention pretty irresponsible.

Can't speak about this other girls thing.

As for drugs/alcohol have the world should jailed if that's the case. he's not a model citizen and seems like douch bag but entertaining to watch.

Rask is still a good goalie?

I'm not saying I want them to win a cup, I'd prefer the caps but I won't be mad if they win. I don't think they'll make it past the ducks tho.

Nothing about the sharks is feel good.

We don't agree on much lmao, I'd love for Burns, Pavelski, Vlasic, and Thornton to get a cup. That's a much more likable group than the Hawks IMO lol.

Teams I'd root for left are,

Tampa (Obvious)
Nashville
San Jose
Washington
Pittsburgh
Anaheim

STL over Hawks was just less hate versus more hate.

That isn't even remotely in the order of who I think will win it though. Actually pretty much the exact opposite of who I think will win haha.

weirdest part about these playoffs: Schneider auditioning for an announcing gig

Nope, he would've been better off waiting for UFA...which is why signing that offer sheet was a death sentence.

I just really hate their fans and Thornton/Marleau. Don't mind the rest. Remenda is annoying as well.

I only really have love for Ovy's caps. Only want to see the ducks win because they were my pick. I use to like Tampa until Yzerman came on board.

Man, if Nashville somehow beats Anaheim, the west is wide open.

DAL VS STL
SJ VS NSH

WSH vs PITS
TB vs NYI

Those TV ratings are going to suck, except for WSH/PITS. No Canadian team, no original 6 team.

Good point on Weber, but who could pass up that contract. Nashville needs to trade for a Jones/Pickard/Gibson type soon. (Not sure if they already have one)

Mr. Y has been a pretty good GM all things considered, former Deadthing or not.

For some reason I have less hate for Thornton than Marleau, can't really explain it though. Don't care that much for Thornton either, but I actually legitimately like Burns, Vlasic, and JP though.

Pavs has been so underrated for so long, same with Vlasic.

Definitely rooting for WSH after Tampa though.

Yeah, the messed up part is that I'm rooting for Nashville, but I picked Anaheim over them in 7 games.

I don't I remember them saying there's was no Malkin/Ovy/Crosby talent. It was a crapshoot between Turris/JVR/Kane no?

I seem to recall Kane being the clear-cut #1 pick at the time of the draft. Don't think the Hawks for one second even thought about anyone else. However, it may have been a toss-up at #2 between JVR and Turris.

There was talk back then of Kane being so good he turned Sam Gagner into a top-10 pick, which ultimately looks to be true to this day. Looking back on the 07 draft there are at least 10 players picked after Gagner who I would choose ahead of him. Heck, at the time I thought the Oilers were reaching with him at 6 due to size and lack of speed. But I do believe you're right in saying the 07 draft class was considered weak.

You seriously think with Stars goaltending woes, Blues will fall flat on their faces against them? That's a pretty bold comment there D2M, will be interesting if it happens. Personally I don't think Dallas has a chance, it will be very close, and I think Blues are 1-4 against them, but playoffs are a totally different animal.

That wasn't the best game of the year, that had to be the best playoff series since 2010's Flyers versus Penguins craziness. Loving this year's playoffs!

Dallas-St Louis will be given NBC priority I bet.

I recall this as well, one of the reason besides being so good at the time for Kane, is because no one really realistically challenged him throughout the year. Like it was closer between Tavares and Duchene than it was Kane and second overall.

There are stories though that Kane's Dad spent a over 10,000 dollars in development and training to help Kane not only get drafted, but to be a top 5 selection. 10K now seems SO tiny to the player he has turned into, but spending 10K for a 15, 16, 17, and then 18 year old kid is quite crazy.

They'll probably stagger those two

Well, they labeled the ANA/NSH game as two episodes of "Shark Tank" on CNBC in Florida lol. Seems like they don't give a **** at this point.

Edit : Now that I think of it, maybe it was tactical. I'm sure they got a few people to tune in who hoped it would be a rerun of a lady cutting a hole in a towel, putting a patent on it, and then selling it to Disney and becoming a millionaire.

Either that or maybe the one where the guy cut out the tape part of a band-aid in an oval shape and stuck them on his nose holes, then proceeded to patent it and sell millions of them to the middle East.
