I would do this trade for sure
I would love the attitude he brings and he would boost our compete and comraderie. But the Ducks are the worst offensive team in the league. Giving up one of our best goalscorers would make us even worse…. Unless we get a decent coach that will get the most out of their skilled players which is doubtful as we will sign a bargain bin option when we dump Cronin.

What happened to Frederic? He was reasonably well regarded not too long ago
He had a career year last season. For whatever reason, pretty much everyone on the Bruins (except their fourth line) have under-performed so far this year. So it seems like it's less an issue with him and more the team as a whole IMO.

I'd definitely try to hang on to him a bit longer to see if he can return to form, and sell a bit higher towards the deadline IF the Bs continue trending downwards. If they end up looking like a playoff team I'd keep him as a self-rental, if only because he's not gonna be enough to return the kind of assets we need (solid producing top 6, or prospect with legitimate top 6 potential).

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

That makes sense. At some point the Bruins will get it together and he will look better
