Bottom pairing and defensively responsible middle 6 wingers I can understand but expensive top 6 wingers that don't produce their value seems odd to be in this conversation.

Hopefully someone takes Drouin, Id live to see him play in a scoring based system again.

5.5 million for 50 points a year isn't expensive per say. it's really about right.

I call BS on Drouin and Kulak but would be very happy to see them moved. I'd be shocked if we could get a 5th for Kulak, but would gladly take it if so. Drouin is so frustrating, so skilled yet so soft.

Depending on the night you watch him you might think Kulak is worth more than a 5th. Not sure we've had any of those nights this season though...

Let's face it - Mtl will be flooded with articles that are basically " Mtl getting calls on ________________" for each player in the pipelines. It's hard to sort the clickbait.
First i hear of Kulak being in there though. He's a 6-7 D that does honest work IMO, and he's not old, so i dont know if moving him is a priority for Mtl. I think he gets traded as a result of someone asking about him, not as a result of Mtl shopping him, but i dont care either way

Buddy hardly has 50 pts over the last 3 seasons, doesn't play D, turns over the puck, makes bad decisions, super streaky, soft as hell, heavily sheltered, puck hog, barely shoots....

He's not the type of player teams are looking to add in general. At best, he should be sheltered in your middle 6 + PP time. Ennis has been a 40pt player in Ottawa, doesn't mean he brings anything to a good team.

I would love to see it click for him but he has shown almost no growth in his game imo. Super flawed and just really not good in most facets of the game. He has too many nights where he's one of the worst players on the ice.

Drouin? Kulak? Dear god please take them

Lehky will fetch a higher price than people think

Why would the habs trade lehkonen for third and fourth round picks?

Yeah, I just realized myself that he is way more valuable then I thought, given he's versatility and playoff heroics last season. He might actually fetch a 1st +

I'd love Lehkonen in Boston but Gorton's first trade won't be with Boston. He won't fetch enough for Lehkonen to make it worth the drama. Really good player though.

I think the Habs would happily keep him and resign him if his value is a third or fourth. He might be worth a first or a decent prospect.

I don’t think it’s as much clickbait as the Habs brass spreading rumours to try and drive price up. ‘Oh a bunch of teams have called about kulak and lehkonen’ when in reality maybe none did. Same as a realtor saying they have a ton of viewings to get you to put in an offer, when really they’ve only had 1. You.

It would make sense to me if I were a GM ‍♂️

Lehkonen, widely reported makes sense, chips in on offense and is really good defensively. Cheap especially if retained and has an RFA year left. Prbly offers are 2nd + a varying degree of prospects from safe b-level guys to boom-bust type players.

Kulak, makes sense guy is a 6-7 d on most teams. Has moments where he steps up prbly gets a 4th or 5th on deadline day.

Drouin is interesting, only reason it makes sense is teams want him at 50%. Drouin at 5.5 is over paid (not as much as some say, but definitely some) Drouin at 2.75-3 playing sheltered minutes + on PP could definitely have value though. No idea what he's worth at that price.

Lehkonen for Logan Brown + 4th?

Not even close.

A 40-50 point guy at 2.75 for this year and next is worth a lot. I would love to see how he performs on a decent team for a change.
