WC: TEAM USA

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Some of these games aren't pretty but neither is this roster lol.

They are winning games which is all that matters. I want to see them start to look more cohesive by Saturday especially with the 2 new adds.

Major concern is the power play. It can't remain looking like that. Something has to change, flip the units around, change personnel ...whatever. It needs to generate chances. We are winning games without any help from our power play.

This team is getting better goaltending and defense than I thought it would. Offense is lacking though.

Boys, undefeated, let’s gooo. A bunch of college kids writing exams during the tourney. Love it.

You can't be anything but happy as they're 4-0 and control their own destiny for the #1 seed in their group. But their play has been trending in the wrong direction since the start of the tournament; they really need to find their legs and chemistry again. These last 2 performances have been ugly.

Hopefully with the consecutive days off they can get in some rest and practice time, reset, and find their legs and tenacity again. Yes, the PP is ugly and needs work, but I'm more worried about the shift in their 5-on-5 effort and play.

Also, scratch Bjork and run with 8 defensemen. Attard deserves to be in the lineup.

Yeah lol. My only issue is we've seen this kind of thing in past tournaments, and that finished about as well as our more talented rosters did - bronze at best.

This would be a good tournament to get a medal, or possibly even reach the gold medal game for the first time like.. ever. The next three tournaments are in desirable locations that you can likely convince some high-level players to want to go to. I think having a precedent established that the USA *could* win this tournament with enough buy-in would help a lot for player recruitment.

It definately seem like they need to mix the lines and PP up. I feel like there is the elements for a good PP here although it might mean someone like Hutson gets more responsibility than the U.S. brass wants.

This will be one of the easiest deletes, of a DVR recording, I have ever asked my thumb to complete. Gonna get shutout in the quarters if they keep playing like this.

Don't care how stingy the Daines are. US looks like they are playing on a back to back. Gauthier was lucky to get the puck back on his stick when he potted the PP goal.
