why are swedish players so lazy? hörnqvist have still not give us any decision even thought his team was beaten out 5 days ago wtf.

arvid, ekholm and forsberg will probaly not play until qf even thought they could fly over tomorrow...

other nations players comes right away and play games, look at krejci and pastrnak, but not swedish players, they wait weeks, days....
For the 1000th time, Hörnqvist has already accepted. Grönborg even said so while adding he needed to work some things out with his family first which shouldn't be any problem according to Grönborg. He is coming.

Bäckström accepted on the 12th after losing on the 10th, and played against Slovakia the 16th. So if they accept they'll most likely play against Russia on the 15th.

thats my point, why not play versus swiss, why wait until russia game . they can play vs swiss if they stop being lazy. other nations players comes right away, look at czech with krejci and pastrnak they where playing against russia yesterday, the same day they came to copenhagen !!

its a big problem if they wait so long because of jet lag and not getting used to big ice . they need as many games as possible .

Didnt you read? He had family issues first.

Apparently not family issues per se, it was bureaucracy, Hörnqvist and his wife needs a swedish passport for their newborn which they haven't received yet.

Passports can be a pain, hopefully they get it in the next three days.

Sms-planen för att få drömtrion till VM

Adam Larsson & Arvi are old Skellefteå buddies, so he'll try and get him over. DLR & Forsberg are old buddies from Leksand, and he'll try and get him over, but not right off the bat.

Of the Nashville boys the one I'm most certain will come over is Arvi.

I agree that Kempe is better than EP right now, I want him over him, but to say EP should go to KHL or stick in SHL is asinine, give him some games in the NHL, if he works out in those games keep him in there for around 50 games, if not, only have him get stronger, kind of like what the Marlies does in the AHL with their prospects(they have players skip games sometimes to go to the gym instead).

Fun fact: EP is the same height as Henrik Sedin, and weigh just a little less than he did when he went over. So, Henrik Sedin should have never gone to the NHL and instead stuck in the SEL?
Yup, the Sedins went over too early. They weren't ready. What is the f***ing rush of going over as soon as you've finished puberty? You know, your development can actually regress if you take the wrong decisions.

By that logic Sudden, Hedman, Karlsson, OEL, H.Lindholm, Landeskog, Adam Larsson, Bratt, Rakell, Zibanejad, etc. should have waited 2+ years to go over?
By that logic? You think I'm setting up some rule or principle here? It's obviously an individual decision. I don't understand what's so controversial about having the opinion that Pettersson's abysmal strength and balance issues will not serve him well at all in a much faster and much more physical league. He would be much better off being better at protecting - and by some miracle, winning - the puck before proving what he can do in NHL.

Pettersson is a better player than Lias Andersson for example, but Lias is still more NHL ready than Pettersson. So is Dahlin, yet he's younger. How's that for logic?

I just don't see what role a skilled guy who is unable to protect or win the puck is going to do on a top 6 line in the NHL/ AHL. Players who couldn't go into the corners or work the boards could have a job if they were greatly skilled, but that was 15 years ago.

No, it absolutely in no way is, development isn’t the same from player to player, even if going over early might have worked for player A it might not work for player B, because their developmental needs are different.

I feel like the realistic scenario right now is Hörnqvist, Sörensen and one player from Nashville. But hopefully two from Nashville. Either way, it looks like the forward group will get some nice additions that can help form one more scoring line.

Has Everberg been that bad though? I would probably take Sörensen over him but it wouldn't be a big upgrade.
I mean Everberg is really bad in the O-zone, replace him with a guy who has been great in the NHL playoffs going 4-1 in 10gp playing on the 4th line, and that's a good upgrade.

You’d still rather replace him with one of, Arvidsson, Forsberg or Hörnqvist.
