I did not watch the Austria game, was basing my assessment on the 3 other games. Which emphasizes my point that 3 games is really a short leash to judge a player.

I thought he did decent job in the first game vs. Belarus, not only b/c of the goal. In the second game vs. Czech Republic, Grönborg gave him very limited TOI - only 6:42... I didn't notice his presence on the ice other than he got a penalty for tripping. In the third game he was really not not good, all at sea. And yesterday then, clearly improved again.

Comon it was the worst opponent in this tournament along with korea.

Pettersson's physical strength isn't bad, it's abysmal. He's very interesting on the PP, but 5 on 5 he's been a liability so far, if you want your team to keep the puck.

That's why I think Pettersson going over to NA leagues next season is a joke. So he has nothing to prove in SEL? Go to KHL for a year then and get some strength, because I have no clue what value he could bring to an NHL team at this moment. So he is very skilled and very smart? So what, when anybody can push him away from the puck at this level?

"But Kempe did it against Austria!" Yeah, well, Pettersson was being owned by Belarusian, Czech and to some lesser extent French defensemen, is that much of a defense speech?

Hahahahahaha. Guy breaks most records possible for his age, wins most every award he possibly can —— naw, keep him in that lesser league.

This post has got to be the worst I’ve ever read. It’s a decent chunk of time until next season; especially to a developing teen. It is absolute nonsense to think he should play anywhere else but NA next season.

There are countless players that are smaller or not as strong that made the jump. What an idiotic thought he couldn’t with his skill.
 
any reason why sweden has a 3 day layoff? I dont see other teams having that long wait between games.
 
why are swedish players so lazy? hörnqvist have still not give us any decision even thought his team was beaten out 5 days ago wtf.

arvid, ekholm and forsberg will probaly not play until qf even thought they could fly over tomorrow...

other nations players comes right away and play games, look at krejci and pastrnak, but not swedish players, they wait weeks, days....
 
Forsberg - Backlund - Arvidsson (this will get backlund going)
Rakell - Zibanejad - Janmark
Nyquist - Kempe - Hörnqvist/Sörensen/Järnkrok/Melker
Pääjärvi - JDLR - Elias (2 hardworkers giving space to Elias, and i want Elias on PP)

Lindholm - Klingberg
OEL - Larsson
Gustafsson - Ekholm
