WC: Team Sweden 2019 roster

I am thinking of unnecessary injuries playing in this tournament.

But it is good for the fans to see the nhlers.

Think they'll go with that, but swap Krüger and Lander. Personally would take Nygård over Wedin, but with Grönborg who knows?

The risk of that is really small compared to how important it is with chemistry. Plus some of them have gone without playing a game for the better part of a month why wouldn’t they wanna get some hockey in them before the action starts.

Honestly it feels like I have no idea who’s who when it comes to SHL players anymore hardly watched at all this year. The subtraction of Pettersson and Dahlin really made this whole season a big meh.

Bemstrom did good.

Would been nice seeing him get a spot for whc but no chance in hell.

Next season should have Holtz, Raymond, Gunler, Nybeck, & Grans so that should be sweet.

About a 0% chance they don't play in the SHL next season. Djurgården has been building up to Holtz getting into the SHL for well over a year now, and Frölunda will make place for Raymond if it isn't there. The Westerholm's are also leaving Frölunda.

Islanders down with 2-0.

Lehner is better than Markström and Lundqvist. If he fixes his contract its a no brainer to invite him, with Lehner in goal we would be gold favorites. Kind of sucks for Markström and Lundqvist to be on the bench but this is not about their feelings getting hurt, this is about winning the gold that matters.

Nylander/Lindholm should be 2C if Bäckström doesn't come, with Kempe as 3C.
 
Lol they have been waiting 1 month for MPS. How can he be this important for Grönborg. Time to let go of MPS and add someone else.

The reality though is that they "only" have 18 guys invited, so still 1 goalie and 6 skater spots to work with.

I'm not sure I agree. I would put Markström at the same level as Lehner in terms of performance, while Lundqvist is almost always good when it really matters. Yes, I know Lehner is nominated for the Vezina, but Lehner played behind a Trotz classic, a very structured, defensive system. Meanwhile, Markström played behind a really bad team and did really, really well.
