Maybe, but Dahlin needs a big summer in the gym. He's way behind in that department. Pretty sure that's the big reason he isn't playing.
I'm sure they have their reasons. And for Dahlin of coarse his employer is his priority. Don't think it's very strange at all. Just sour about Dahlin not playing.

Dahlin and Pettersson would be the most exciting players to watch for sure.

I think Swedes will be in for a surprise when they see Bratt play, during the pre-tournament games against Finland he showed flashes of what he can do, but he's obviously still getting back into the hockey groove after being out for a good while, & won't play for real before the tournament starts.

One of my favorite players to watch in the NHL.

With the guys we have now I would imagine that the top 2 lines would look something like this:
Hörnqvist - Pettersson - Lindholm
Bratt - Nylander - Lindblom

Obviously it's also possible to have Lindholm play C. But that is my top 6.

That's a good top six. Especially if Pettersson can play like he did before Christmas. I still think we need a third line that can score though.

He's had a rough season with injuries and such, but he sure made an exclamation mark in New Jersey last season when he was healthy. He's a kind of player that would play well on any line, in any role (well, at least offensively/ defensively) and I think that's Grönborg's argument for adding him as well. It's also good to give younger, talented players the experience.

There are a bunch of players I would scratch off the roster list before I would look at Bratt.

which players from second round is realistic?

Boston: Marcus Johansson, no. He has no contract. Nordstrom, no way.

Columbus: Wennberg, yes he has a contract and should be hungry. dont get fooled by his numbers this season, Torterella is a weird coach, Wennerberg just dont fit in his system. But nevertlhess Wennerberg is still a good player.

Ny Islanders: Robin Lehner, no, we already have Markstrom and Lundqvist.

Carolina: Wallmark had a good season..

Blues: Steen will never come, he likes Canada more than he likes Sweden. Gunnarsson, no room. Sundqvist has no contract.

Dallas: Janmark has no contract. Klingberg is possible.

San Jose: Erik Karlsson can barely move, he wont come. Melker wont get invited. Sörensen is a possiblity.

Colorado: Nemeth has no contract. Söderberg and Landeskog is possible.

Would players from 3rd round be possibly?

Why is Nordstrom no way realistic? Gronborg seems to like him, he has a contract and he's had a good postseason thus far. If I'm not mistaken he scored a goal in the finals or in the semi finals when Sweden won gold a couple of years ago.

Because Pääjärvi, Loui, Kruger. M.Kempe is already on the team. Are we gonna play with 2 checking lines?

While Loui is defensively responsible, he's one of the most passive forwards in the NHL. He's far from a checker. Anyhow, M. Kempe has been sitting in the pressbox before during these tournaments and I don't think Paajarvi is confirmed yet (?), and even if he was, he can also sit in the pressbox. As can Nordstrom. You keep a straightforward dialogue with them and they should realize they are not locks to play in all 7 games of the group stage, especially not if more NHL'ers are joining the team. I'm not saying Nordstrom must be invited, but I don't think you can say that there's "no way" he'll be invited either. I personally prefer him over Paajarvi and Mario.

I think Landeskog arm/shoulder is still not 100% doubt he will come. Söderberg would be nice =)

Yeah but Grönborg will use Loui in bottom 6.

I like Nordström, but if Pääjärvi comes and Kruger and M.Kempe already here i dont think there would be room for him. Keep in mind that there is always SHLers/KHLers on this teams who will take roster spots aswell.

Anyways, i would prefer Emil Sylvegård over Pääjärvi and even M.Kempe. I am not joking. Emil Sylvegård would give us something that nobody else could. Sylvegård is strong with the puck, drives to the net like a madman, hits everything that moves, takes cares of defensive duty, great in pk. Emil could be to us what Tom Wilson is to Capitals.

Current offensive group kinda hinges on Nylander showing up like two years ago and the other young guys having some juice left. Hörnqvist was perfect for this group, but Bäckström would be even better to have.

Is it only me or do Pääjärvi seem like a good add on, no matter what players accept/decline, has performed well in the NT before, seems very humble and will give 200% no matter what role he gets?

The Swedish Federation has released the roster to the Carlson Hockey Games as well as an update list of NHLers. Most noteworthy thing that I don't think was reported before is that Andreas Johnsson has declined due to contract negotiations and Christain Djoos was not invited (?!)

Cut from the roster are:
G Samuel Ersson
D Emil Djuse
D Simon Bertilsson
D Jonathan Andersson
D Jesper Sellgren
D Linus Arnesson
F Linus Sandin
F Isac Lundström
F Emil Larsson
F Emil Sylvegård
F Leon Bristedt
F Linus Fröberg
F Daniel Zaar
F Mathias Bromé
F Jesper Boqvist

Why is lundqvist starting, they should give markstrom some games.
Why would they not try to find chemistry with the players they are going to play in the worlds with in an exhibition tournament if they’re healthy?

How do you know that Lundqvist will be starting?

Good roster. Nice with so many NHLers in Carlson Hockey Games.

Sylvegård cut...:(

Lineup?

OEL - Larsson
Gustafsson - Pettersson
Holm - Hägg
Svedberg - Bengtsson

Bratt - Elias - Lindholm
Lindblom - A.Kempe - Hörnqvist
Rasmussen - Lander - Loui
Wedin/Nygård - Kruger - M.Kempe
