Stretnú sa Slovák, Kanaďan a Nemec u Slováka na návšteve. Slovák je už unavený, tak posiela kamošov dopiče.
Kanaďan: "Jasné, sekundička..."
Nemec: "Kamoško, dve minútky mi daj a idem!"

//

Not sure if this would pertain any relevance after translating, but whatever.

Slovak, Canadian and German guys meet each other at the Slovak place.
The Slovak is already tired, so he sends his friends away (no booing, don't worry).
Canadian: "Sure, just a sec..."
German: "Buddy, give me two minutes and I'm leaving!"

True reason for our lack of success. We need to change the government. :sarcasm:

So basically it means that next year is our year :D

Btw, Bucek to Liiga. He will play for Kookoo. It is a internal agreement with Red Wings organization. He is going to Detroit camp this summer, as well. Good for him.

Nope, it would be 2021 (if the government changes next year). Makes sense, if we're in a "rebuild".

They do. (It's the Olympics that wouldn't fit in there – the disaster in 2002, the respectable showing in 2010.)
No, they do not. It is completely purpose-built.

For instance, Radicova’s governemnt took power in July 2010, or the Fico’s second government was formed in Apríl 2012. Also 2006 is questionable.

The evening match against GB is the penultimate. Maybe we can start summarize this tournament and players who fulfill our expectations and who not?

We keeo saying every year that goaltending isn't such an issue as it used to be, but at the tournament it turns out it isn't exaclty right. We need to find some guys who can do well for the NT, even if they are not doing well in their league. Instead of having guys like J.Hudacek who are the complete opposite.

More interesting question for me than summarizing is which players will get themselves a better team for next season? NT needs players in top Euro leagues, if we want to compete even if the few NHLers don't show up.

No, it fits perfectly. You need to look at the table more carefully, and not try to nitpick on a joke (no one said it's about months of the year). It's a joke, but true to life.
It’s true to life, agreed. But it is still only a weak joke which does not reflect facts. It fits perfectly only in a parallel universe maybe.

True to life = reflects facts. Don't know what you're talking about. Every year and placement and prime minister in that table is exact and precise. A joke, but fact-based.

No, it is not, for the reasons I said above.

Radicova was not PM already in 2012. Facts.

I am wondering how huge progress will make talented goalies like Huska, Hrenak or Durny in the next season. Maybe I would rather go with them on the next WC. Although, I still have my trust in Rybar. He has a great chance to make spot in Detroit.

For part of centers, it can look really good for WC in Swiss. Probably three solid guys in AHL (Roman, Pospisil, Ruzicka), Hrivik in KHL (Vityaz) and there are still another decent players like Griger, Sukel, Hudacek and Kristof.

More than solid

Yeah, we should try one of the younger goalies next year perhaps. Hopefully at least one of them turns out to be decent. They are still only just making the transition between junior/college and men's hockey and it remains to be seen how they deal with that.

I am not nearly as optimistic about the C position. I thought we were finally improving in that regard somewhat when Dano and Reway came up, but look at how that worked out :(

It is a huge step from junior hockey to the AHL and Roman, Ruzicka and Pospisil might not make the jump as easily as Studenic did. Studenic had an advantage over them having played a good portion of games where he was getting good ice-time with Skalica in Extraliga before he went to NA. And even if they make the jump, they still might not even be available/released for the IHWC.

Even with all these players you mention, we still don't have a good quality No. 1 center even when all the players are available.

We would need a guy who had Hudacek's skill, but also good build and physical game and less of a tendency to overplay the puck unnecessarily (yes, it can lead to good chances, but sometimes on the wrong side of the ice).

Just checking in... following you guys closely. Now that Denmark got destroyed by States... what do you guys have to do to make quarters. Let's assume you beat Denmark and GB.

US would have to get only one point in games against Germany and Canada as that would put them at 12 points and Slovakia would advance based on better game against US. If US gets 2 or more points, we are done.

Well, we can't do anything :D. All our hope rests on USA getting no more than 1 point from games vs Germany and Canada. So we are pretty much done.

EDIT:  triple reply in one minute

Well, I never thought I' d say this.. but GO GERMANY!!!

Enjoy destroying GB today.
