I don't see any opportunity how Latvala can be in a viral team. Jokiharju, Vaakanainen?, Utunen, Laaksonen, Kokkonen, Thomson, Kaskinen and Heinola. All of them are better players than Latvala. And Latvala is such a bad skater.
But he is a 1999..

Utunen was a C against Denmark, Latvala had an A with Heponiemi.

What I hope for our D:
Laaksonen-Jokiharju
Vaakanainen?-Kokkonen
Heinola-Utunen
Thomson

What I think our captains will be: C Jokiharju, A Talvitie & Vaakanainen/Heponiemi/Utunen

Its not matter how old he is if he is garbage. I have seen many games from Latvala and mehh... What I can say? He is big, very bad skater and do he even know what means defending?

Yeah those players I choose too. But Kokkonen is left and Laaksonen is right, so they can swapped sides. Utunen and Heinola is left-handed so third pair will be Utunen/Heinola - Thomson maybe?

I don't want Latvala either but coach may pick him because he is older. Maybe yeah, I didn't look the handedness, just said some pairs that I liked.

Utunen-Thomson probably. And they may take 8 defensemen. I would probably take Honka if they go with 8 D.

Although it's only an exhition game against Denmark, it seems like Kupari and Heponiemi are continuing where they left off in Liiga, being absolutely dominant out there.

Nice to see others also getting on the scoreboard and I'm only assuming there is still more to come. Based on the highlights, for example Kakko could have had couple of more points in that game. I also think sone jetlag could still be affecting players considering they just flew there like 4 days ago.

I assume Tolvanen is going to play in the 1st line but at the same time I would love to see Kakko and Tolvanen playing in the same line with Kakko grinding the pucks near boards and feeding Tolvanen with his precise passes.

Why play your two best offensive D men together? Its better to spread them out. They aren't the two most physical defensman either.
With Vaakanainen
Heinola-Jokiharju
Vaakanainen-Laaksonen
Kokkonen-Thomson
Utunen

Whiteout
Heinola-Jokiharju
Kokkonen-Laaksonen
Utunen-Thomson

I think Latvala is the odd man out when Jokiharju arrives.

Looks good that way too. I just hope they select the right guys to the team..

Can any Finns tell me about this Lundell kid? I’ve heard some buzz around him but never seen him play. What are his strengths/weaknesses? I apologize if it’s been discussed but don’t feel like sifting through the thread.

Thanks!

Anton Lundell is 2001 born Center and he plays in HIFK's liiga team.
Lundell is late birthday and he'll be one of top center prospects available in 2020 draft.

Lundell isn't Lafreniere's challenger of 1st overall pick but he projects at least TOP5- TOP10 pick.
Anton was one underage player in Finland's U18 WJC gold medal winning team earlier this year in Russia.

He also is 2nd generation hockey player his father Jan Lundell was SM liiga goalie and played in HIFK.
As player Anton is playmaking center but he can score goals too.

Lundell's best asset is his hockey IQ which is really good he's also really calm under pressure.
Lundell also has excellent work ethic and he comes to help the defense

Lundell has a very good frame and while he obviously needs to gain more muscle.
His skill level also helps him greatly in tight spaces.

He is not the kind of player who constantly makes flashy moves, but his excellent hands helps him protect the puck and he is able to give excellent passes.
Lundell also likes to utilize his shot a lot.

There’s no major flaws in Lundell’s game and he is a very responsible player that the coach can rely on in every situation.

Lundell is an extremely smart player who plays an active game away from the puck and rarely gets caught out of his position.
He’s also a solid, quick skater who plays at a high pace.
This, along with his compete level and skill set, makes him a factor in every game situation.
His overall skill set is already really strong, but he still has a lot of room for development. The upside is high with this prospect

I hope that too, bringing Latvala for example because he is 19 and is a big guy would be wrong.
Klemetti-Kupari-Heponiemi
Nyman-Lundell-Kakko
Puustinen-Virtanen-Ylonen
Moilanen-Vainionpaa-Ranta

Kokkonen-Laaksonen
Kaskinen-Honka
Utunen-Latvala
Riekkinen-Thomson

This was the lineups vs Denmark. These lineups are just testing lineups, last chance for some to prove that they belong here. Thats why Latvala,Kaskinen,Riekkinen,Puustinen and Klemetti played. Maybe Klemetti and Puustinen will be on the final team.

Yeah maybe, if Vainionpää don't get cut then i can see this lineups. Otherwise will Talvitie center the third probably and Virtanen the fourth. But i still think Ranta will be there.

Lol you just said that and I forgot. Bad memory or something. But they may have done it earlier, just didn't announce it? Yeah I am just dreaming and it ain't happening.
It is Montreal ahah if he was going anywhere it would have leaked out and the move would have had to be made yesterday so it would be on record somewhere. I mean in theory a team could leave an open roster spot and the player comes on the 29th after the rosters open back up....but that basically never happens. But if Finland takes less then the max roster with them on the 25th that will be a tell whether or not they are expecting an NHL player late.

Okay. I don't think there will be any late additions, so thanks.

It seems that Heponiemi is going to play RW, he wants to divide the star players to two separate lines,
so my forward lines would be something like these (obviously i don't know who gets cut and who are in)

1. Killinen-Kupari-Heponiemi
2. Tolvanen-Lundell-Kakko
3. Nyman-Talvitie-Ylönen
4. Puustinen-Virtanen-Ranta
