WC: TEAM CANADA 2023

Looks like Michigans season is over and Fantilli ends his college season at 30 goals and 65 pts. We’ll see how far Bedard and Regina goes now that the Blades tied the series.

I’d gladly take both for this tournament

Shane Wright's season is also done.

Maybe he goes to the AHL, though.
There is no way Seattle let’s him go to world championships as it looks like Seattle making the playoffs

I hope this will be a young team. The youngsters need experience in this sort of tournament

I don't see Wright playing for Seattle this year. His 2022-23 year has been pretty lacklusture, and he needs conditioning in the AHL.

Can't imagine if nothing else he's not with the Kraken as a "Black Ace" for the playoffs.

Would be interesting to see if Crosby is interested in going to Finland if the Penguins miss the playoffs.

Finland and Riga are beautiful places this time of year and atmosphere should be great.

I had to think about which "Johnson" you meant.

No Chabot, Couture, or Giroux? Or just assuming the Vets won’t go?
Chabot was injured a bit ago, Couture has never gone and Giroux has played this tournament a lot and is older now so neither probably go.

Canadiens prospect Hutson expected to return to Boston University – Sportsnet.ca

The St. Louis thing seems true, as Friedman is saying it. Declined to be part of the staff so that he can spend time with his family.

I almost wonder if there is some remaining ill will (maybe too strong a word, but you know what I mean) between Yzerman and St. Louis from when Yzerman initially passed on him for the 2014 Olympic team. St. Louis eventually got on the team and got his gold medal, but the relationship seemed a little bruised afterwards. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that Yzerman was named GM of this year's team.
