Wasn't in the country but Hockey Canada has decided to suspended every single player from that team from international competition for the time being.Suspension? Didn't they figure out he wasn't even in the hotel?

Which rapists? You'd better contact the London police and tell them what you clearly know because they've yet to even lay a charge of anything, better yet charge multiple people with rape.Seems unfair to Makar who is provably innocent, but I guess it doesn't matter too much for him until the next Olympics. Seems OK for the other "code of silence" types that are protecting rapists.
I know about the accusation and I've followed all publicly available information as far as I know. I'm very confident that you don't know whether a rape even occurred despite your claim, but if you do then by all means contact the London police and give them that evidence. Not the time or place, but there was a whole thing about it.
There was never any confirmation concerning his place on the team. I saw a short blurb earlier way back in this thread when the regular season ended saying he was " considering it" nothing more and not a peep about it since.I thought Power had accepted an invite.
Well that sucks if he's a no.
Asserting there are rapists when a charge has even to be laid yet is coming to a conclusion also.Seems like you already made your conclusion, but no need to play confused by asking "which" when you already know the story.
WT has deleted what he said. Well done, WT.Delete
Don't get my hopes up.The bluenose line. It's gotta happen
If the holy see says so who am I to argue?WT has deleted what he said. Well done, WT.
Sometimes these posts snowball and we wish we could make them all go away - that's why I deleted what you said. Maybe others could do the same.
Don't get my hopes up.
My conclusion is that I don't know what happened and have only read the information that has been publicly released. I'm not pretending to know what happened. Since you are calling players rapists, you either know what happened and should contact the police or you're talking out of your ass. I don't see any other possibility.Seems like you already made your conclusion, but no need to play confused by asking "which" when you already know the story.
I did not mean it that way, JJ.If the holy see says so who am I to argue?
By the way, you can delete other peoples posts now? When did you get your wings?
I was only kidding around, no worries buddyI did not mean it that way, JJ.
I deleted WT's post within MY post because WT deleted what he wrote (he realized he was wrong) so I figured it was the right thing to do. I was just trying to be kind.![]()
No worries, JJ.I was only kidding around, no worries buddy
Now the players we are gonna have, or lack of them.........that has me worried.
From your post to God's ears.Gordon Lightfoot died,R.IP. You know what that means.............The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to win the cup this year.
Do we know who has accepted invitations?
just remind, 9th may play canada against hungary friendly match and all we know is few players![]()
So, they don't have to be in Europe until the 8th. one practice + one friendly is generally all the prep Hockey Canada does for this....
Amazing that we win gold medals and play in gold medal games. Just illustrates just how good we are![]()
It is basically no problem because they have 7 games in the group stage and they 99% will make the QF, where the "real" tournament begins. So they can easily take 3-4 group stage games purely as preparation games.
I agree, exactly the kind of player who should take that opportunity. He won't be on this level but Nathan MacKinnon was dominant in the 2017 tournament after a few disappointing years and then became an elite NHLer the next season. There's no guarantee of that happening of course (and it's not as simple as the tournament made him great) but it's basically the ideal situation you hope for. This would be a good opportunity for Lafreniere to head overseas and suit up for Canada and (hopefully) gain some confidence heading into next season.
Has Ryan Smyth announced yet? Or Shane Doan? So, they don't have to be in Europe until the 8th. one practice + one friendly is generally all the prep Hockey Canada does for this....

Eh I don't think that it matters that much. If he's interested he'll go. It gives an easily digested excuse if he didn't want to go in the first place, which is quite possible. But he is an RFA. so not much chance of that happening.
